Blue Lagoon itineraries have a maximum of four hours cruising time per day, meaning you’ll have plenty of time for all these activities and more!

Departures-

–  Cruises depart every Monday and Friday from Denarau Marina.

We also offer transfer services from Mamanuca Island Resorts to  Fiji Princess.  The pick up and connections for this transfer service are run by local operators exclusively for Blue Lagoon Cruises guests. The 3 and 7 night guests will join  Fiji Princess  at Mana or Modriki Islands and the 4 night guests will connect with South Sea Cruises transfer vessel enroute to meeting  Fiji Princess  in the Sacred Islands. The Mamanuca Resorts we offer transfers for are: Plantation; Lomani; Musket Cove; Malolo Island Resort; Tropica; Likuliku; Castaway; Mana; Tadrai; Matamanoa* and Tokoriki.

Family Cruising

For most of the year Blue lagoon Cruises is exclusive to adults in the style of smaller boutique resorts. However we have had many requests for family bookings from guests who have previously cruised with us. So we are pleased to offer the above departure dates for family cruising time!

The chosen “Family Cruise” departure dates are all within the Australian and New Zealand school holidays and the December departures for the 4 and 7 night cruises include Christmas Day!

Child age is 5 to 13 years inclusive. Children under 5 years are free, based on triple share cabin (only 4 cabins available).

To ensure you have the best possible cruise experience, we use 'flexible cruising'. What this means is that we're prepared to alter our itineraries, either when necessary, or when some exciting opportunity arises. For example, if there is some special event taking part in a local Yasawa Village, which you really should see, then we will alter our cruise route to take you there. Or, if we think that that our destined anchorage for the night is not going to be as sheltered as a bay on the other side of the island, we'll up-anchor and move. Cruising through a region of coral lagoons and isolated island anchorages is weather dependent and so, at times, our itineraries may need to be altered. However we'll always endeavor to ensure all of the highlights of each cruise are enjoyed by our guests. 

Check-in and Departure

Please check-in at Port Denarau. Upon arrival you will be directed to Blue Lagoon Cruises check-in counter.

Check-in is open from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.

Departs Port Denarau every  Friday at 3.00pm  on M.V. Fiji Princess . Returns Port Denarau every  Monday at 3.00pm  on a South Sea Cruises vessel.

Transfers are also available from Mamanuca Island Resorts to  M.V. Fiji Princess.

Bula and welcome aboard Blue Lagoon Cruises. Set sail on the Fiji Princess from Port Denarau for the outer Mamanuca starting at the sandy beaches of Modriki Island, as featured in the Tom Hanks film Cast Away. Enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and canapés prior to tonight’s Captain’s Welcome à la carte dinner. Your evening will include entertainment provided by our friendly and talented singing, and guitar-playing crew.

Sunday is a day of rest for most Fijians. Join us for the local village church service followed by morning tea on shore. Over lunch, we will sail to Naviti Island for an afternoon at the beach. The M.V. Fiji Princess will be your home away from home for the duration of your cruise, except you’ll wake up in a different stunning location each morning and with 70 years' experience cruising the islands of Fiji, Blue Lagoon Cruises know all the best places to take you! The small size of the cruise ship is just one of the reasons it is so special. Measuring 179 feet (55 metres), the M.V. Hibiscus Cabin : The Hibiscus Deck sits below the Orchid Decks, but still has windows well above the water-line with gorgeous views. Situated on the same deck as the Saloon, it has 2 cabins with queen or twin single beds and 4 cabins with queen beds averaging 11 square metres (117 sq ft) in size with queen beds.

Orchid Cabin : The Orchid Decks are situated over two levels and the cabins are approximately 13 sq m (142 sq ft) in size. The Upper Orchid Deck features 3 cabins with queen or twin single beds and 9 cabins with queen beds  and the second Orchid Deck (middle level) features 4 cabins with queen or twin single beds and 12 cabins with queen beds. All Orchid Deck cabins include a welcome fruit platter, complimentary daily stocked mini bar (beer, wine, soft drinks & bottled water), a Pure Fiji sun care pack, in cabin Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities.

Onboard Restaurant : Dining is a true delight due to the skilled work from the chef, the variety of delicious dishes and the beautiful locations you dine in. Exotic barbeques, magnificent buffets, freshly made omelets and beautifully designed traditional Fijian meals are all on the menu. All meals plus morning and afternoon tea are included on your cruise. Tea, drinking water and juice are included in the cost of your cruise as is barista coffee (yes, we have a great coffee machine on-board!). The only thing that is not included is alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. If you have any special dietary requirements, every effort will be made to meet your request. Additional Information 

Dress standard: On board casual and informal, even at dinner. To enter villages men will require a sulu (provided) and women need to dress modestly with shoulders covered. 

Transfer Vessels: Blue Lagoon Cruises use a high-speed transfer vessel 'Cougar II' to transport passengers on the 3 Night and 4 Night itineraries one-way (either to, or from the Sacred Islands). This allows for Blue Lagoon Cruises' vessel,  Fiji Princess , to remain in the islands, only returning to Denarau Marina once a week. For transfers between Mamanuca Island resorts and  Fiji Princess  we use local operator RIBs or similar. These vessels are known for their comfort and sea-keeping qualities. 

Cruising schedule:  Once a week, Fiji Princess departs Denarau Marina for her voyage into the enchanting Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. There, she spends seven days cruising from one spectacular setting to the next before returning to Denarau (this is our 7 night cruise). We also operate a high-speed transfer vessel, which meets Fiji Princess in the Sacred Islands, connecting our 3 and 4 night guests with the cruise. Operating our itineraries in this way means one thing: we spend more time cruising the Yasawas, and less time getting there!

At the end of the cruise on the Moscow River, you'll return to the same starting point.
