One-Visit Crowns

What it is. It is a cosmetic crown that is completed in one visit (instead on needing a second visit two weeks later).

Why we do it. We offer one-visit (or E4D) crowns for several reasons. Because your final crown can be seated immediately you avoid the hassle of a temporary crown, as well as the waiting and returning for a second office visit several weeks later. Unlike conventional impressions that can be messy, unpleasant, and cumbersome, a digital scan is clean and fast. The materials used in an E4D crown are porcelain. The same material used in a traditional crown.

What to expect . Your visit will be pain-free and you can return to work or your regular activities immediately.

10 Benefits of Single Visit Crowns

10benefits-tomasik

CEREC Crowns are streamlining your care.

Your tooth hurts, and it feels like there is a giant crater in the center of it. Surely there has to be a crater that is exposing the nerve to air as you breathe and temperature changes as you eat and drink—it’s the only explanation you can think of as you wince once again from taking a deep breath through your mouth.

You’ve been down this road before: you need a root canal and a crown.

The last time you got a crown, it was a several-week-long process with a lot of pain and careful chewing. So you’re really not looking forward to repeating that experience. But guess what? You don’t have to.

Come see Dr. Tomasik and get a CEREC crown instead. What is a CEREC crown? It’s a single visit crown . It’s a same-day crown we can create for you here, in our office, in hardly any time.

What is CEREC? That stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It’s a dental prosthetic we can create for you using CAD/CAM dentistry .

So your three-week crown experience you had last time is now complete in the matter of one visit.

Amazing, right?

Here are 10 incredible benefits of single-visit crowns.

1. They’re strong.

Single visit crowns are made from a solid block of ceramic or resin material. In the past, crowns were created as a porcelain layer fused to a metal one. While the metal added strength and the porcelain a natural look, this layered approach left the crowns prone to chipping and cracking. And those chips and cracks lead to the visibility of the metal lying underneath—not exactly a desirable outcome from your investment.

The single visit crowns are also heat treated during the milling process for an even stronger final product.

2. They save you time.

Single visit crowns mean just that—one single visit. It used to be that crown procedures required at least two visits, assuming the temporary crown you had to wear for three weeks didn’t fall off and need to be reapplied.

That’s two to three visits and a three week minimum wait time cut down to just a few hours. Not to mention the complete elimination of time you might spend worrying about your temporary crown falling off from normal day-to-day activities like eating.

3. They look natural.

Same day crowns are made to match the rest of your teeth. We’re able to create a tooth that uniquely matches your natural smile. Using the CAD/CAM technology, we are able to match both the shape and shade of your natural tooth for a perfect smile that is truly all yours.

4. You’ll experience less sensitivity.

Temporary crowns, which are a part of the lab-created crown process, are known to cause sensitivity. With CEREC crowns, there is no waiting period, which means you won’t need temporaries, and you won’t experience an uncomfortable three-weeks waiting for that final appointment to apply your permanent crown.

5. Repeat after me: No temporary crown.

Temporaries could be such a headache. They could sometimes come off before the next appointment, caused sensitivity, occasionally didn’t fit very well, and could hinder the ability to chew and speak normally. Any of these side-effects of a temporary crown could make living through the three-week-wait feel like a very long time.

Temporary crowns also irritate the gums and open up the prepared tooth to bacteria. They sometimes even cause the surrounding teeth to shift which will make fitting the final crown difficult.

6. No more gross, gooey impressions.

Physical impressions were often uncomfortable and always, well… goopy. For some patients, the generic tray wouldn’t fit their mouth properly or even cause them to gag.

That whole process is, thankfully, now completely replaced. With the literal wave of a wand over your teeth we are now able to quickly and easily take digital impressions. It takes just a few minutes and is infinitely more comfortable for you as the patient.

7. CEREC crowns are  more accurate.

Physical impressions have multiple factors that could affect their accuracy including the amount of saliva in the patient’s mouth, how well the generic tray shape fit a patient’s bite, and of course, the always inevitable, human error.

With the CEREC crowns, digital impressions are taken using an intra-oral wand and then sent to in-office software to create a three-dimensional virtual crown.

Next, this 3D data is sent to a machine and used to mill a ceramic block into the final crown, which is then heat-treated for strength, and finally colored to match your existing teeth. All of this is done in-office and in a matter of hours.

8. You’ll save money.

Fewer office visits and a more efficient crown creation process means fewer hours missed at work. By cutting out the lab, you’ll only have to come to see us for one visit.

9. They’ll stand the test of time.

Single visit crowns can last 10 to 15 years, if not longer, with the proper maintenance and care. As a stronger and more accurate fit compared to other types of crowns, they are less prone to cracking and chipping from regular usage.

While it is important to treat your new crowns with care and avoid using them as tools or to chew ice, they can withstand normal day-to-day usage for years to come.

10. They’re multipurpose.

Crowns are a wonderful solution for a number of both restorative and aesthetic purposes such as protecting a tooth after root canal treatment, anchoring a dental bridge, covering a dental implant , improving a misshapen tooth, or strengthening a fractured tooth.

Single visit crowns mean less pain, less frustration, and less worry. They get you back to your day-to-day life and normal routines faster than ever.

At Tomasik Dental we love providing same day crowns. We want your new crowns to feel like a natural, normal part of your smile that feels as if they have always been there!

Schedule your appointment . We look forward to giving you the best dental experience.

26 february 2023, what is one-visit crown.

An Introduction

If you’re looking for a way to get a beautiful, natural-looking smile without multiple trips to the dentist, then one-visit crowns might be the perfect option for you. One-visit crowns are a great way to get a dental crown in one appointment, compared to the multiple appointments required for traditional crowns.

What Are One-Visit Crowns?

One-visit crowns are a type of dental crown that can be completed in one appointment. Instead of the multiple visits and appointments required for traditional crowns, one-visit crowns are designed to be completed in one session. They are created with a computerized machine and a digital impression of the teeth so that the crown is custom-made to fit your mouth.

Benefits of One-Visit Crowns

The biggest benefit of one-visit crowns is that they can be completed in one appointment. This can save you time and money, as it eliminates the need for multiple visits to the dentist. It also eliminates the hassle of scheduling multiple appointments and the need for temporary crowns.

Another benefit of one-visit crowns is that they can be made in a variety of materials, such as porcelain and metal. This allows you to choose the material that best suits your needs and budget.

Finally, one-visit crowns are often more comfortable than traditional crowns, as they are custom-made for your mouth. They are also more durable and can last for many years with proper care.

Risks of One-Visit Crowns

As with any type of dental procedure, there are some risks associated with one-visit crowns. It is important to talk to your dentist about any risks and make sure that you are comfortable with the procedure before proceeding.

The most common risk of one-visit crowns is that the crown may not fit properly and may need to be adjusted or replaced. Additionally, they may not last as long as traditional crowns and may need to be replaced sooner than expected.

Finally, one-visit crowns are more expensive than traditional crowns, and may not be covered by insurance. It is important to check with your insurance company to make sure that the procedure is covered before proceeding.

Conclusion

One-visit crowns are a great option for those looking for a fast and convenient way to get a dental crown. They are more comfortable than traditional crowns and can be made in a variety of materials. However, it is important to talk to your dentist about any risks and make sure that you are comfortable with the procedure before proceeding.

Placement Process

In order to make a crown, we would usually take an impression of one of your teeth and send it to a lab, where our specialists will design and shade it. However, with one-visit crowns, we speed up this process by using a digital scanner to obtain a clean, detailed 3D model of your tooth and adjacent teeth. As we work with a 3D model, our team can make adjustments to the crown and ensure that it does not collide with other teeth on a computer before actually creating the piece. This saves the time it would take to refine the crown in a lab, thus allowing patients to obtain their prosthetic replacement in just two hours.

Post-treatment Care

Once the permanent crown is in place, it is very likely that if we preserve the nerve underneath, sensitivity to cold or heat may present during the following days post-op. These sensations should go away as the crown adapts to the tooth. To provide good care, it is advisable to maintain good hygiene for both the crown and adjacent teeth. For porcelain crowns, we recommend preventing the consumption of hard candy or ice so that it does not splinter. If you want to get this your own one-visit crown, please contact us today to book an appointment.

Can You Get a Crown in One Visit?

  • July 10, 2019

close up on mouth of smiling woman and dentist’s hand holding a crown near her teeth

You’re sitting in the dentist’s chair as he explains that you need a dental crown , and like many patients, three questions probably pop up in your mind:

  • What is this going to cost?
  • How painful will it be?
  • How much time is it going to take? How many days off work will I miss?

Fortunately, with today’s modern computer-aided design and  manufacturing technology , it’s possible to receive a crown in one visit. Not too long ago, this procedure would have taken, at a minimum, two visits to your dentist. Today, one visit is all it takes, and guess what? It’s a pretty comfortable procedure.

Crowns of the Past

In the past,  a crown required at least two visits to your dentist, and it was more expensive. On the first visit, the dentist would create a mold of the affected tooth, manually measure your teeth, and send the mold and measurements off to a lab for them to manufacture the crown. This process could take up to a month. During this time, you were given a temporary crown. This was glued to the affected area, but a permanent bond wasn’t used because it was temporary.

You had to  be careful of what you ate because the crown coming off the tooth was a problem. Additionally, since it wasn’t a precise measurement, your temporary crown could be a bad fit and could cause significant discomfort. Finally, when your permanent crown arrived, you went back for your second visit. The dentist would fit the crown and make any necessary adjustments during the fitting. If there was a mistake  at the lab , then those minor adjustments might take more time. If the fit was very poor, you might have to reorder the crown and wait for another.

CEREC Crowns Are the Answer Today

CEREC crowns  are the most efficient way to get crowns for your teeth. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. The procedure to create custom-fitted CEREC crowns is straightforward and fast.

First, the dentist examines, digitally measures and photographs the area where the crown will go. Then, using state-of-the-art computer modeling software, the dentist develops a 3D model of your teeth and new crown. Then, the dentist uses a solid block of material to carve out the crown using a computer-aided milling machine. Because of the precise measurements from the computer and the precise manufacturing of the crown, it will be a highly accurate fit to your teeth. The dentist then attaches the  crown to the affected area of your mouth. If there are any problems, the dentist can correct them during your initial visit. Any problems or adjustments will be corrected at the office. You will leave with a fully functional and permanent crown.

Paying for Crowns Involves More Than the Cost

We understand missing time away from work for dental procedures means you’re paying more than the price of the crown. You also have to count the time off from work for the procedure. The more time you need to take, the higher the cost.

For this reason, we offer CEREC crowns and other CEREC dental procedures to our customers.  The procedure is fast, efficient, and isn’t a drain on your time.

If you have any questions or are considering a dental procedure, we encourage you to contact our doctors,  Dr. Richard Caven ,  Dr. Shelby Denman , and  Dr. Stephen Carpenter , by calling  our Caven Dental office in Jacksonville, FL , to  schedule a consultation today ! We’d be more than happy to sit down with you and discuss your options and explain them fully.

One-Visit Crowns

CEREC®

Crowns in Just One Hour

If you have ever had a crown placed over a tooth, you know how time-consuming it can be. The first trip to the dentist for a temporary, a second trip to have the permanent crown placed, and sometimes, a third and fourth trip if the crown doesn’t fit properly.

What was once a two- or three-week waiting time has now been reduced to just one visit and less than two hours! With CEREC® technology, we can design and mill a perfectly fitting crown so there are no return trips to complete the process. CEREC® creates long-lasting, aesthetically pleasing restorations that are superior to plastic or metal fillings.

The process starts by painting a reflective powder over the damaged tooth. With a special camera, we take a very accurate picture that is displayed on our computer screen so we may design the shape and size of the inlay, onlay, or crown. Automatically, CEREC® then creates the actual permanent restoration. It is ready for bonding to the tooth, and you may eat whatever you like once it is in place. What could possibly be easier than this high-tech procedure?

Learn About The Convenience of One-Visit Crowns

Jun 2, 2023

Dentist Rancho Cucamonga CA

Dental crowns provide strength, functionality, as well as aesthetics, when restoring damaged teeth. Traditionally, getting a dental crown required multiple visits to a dentist.

With the advancements in dental technologies, one-visit restorations are now a convenient and affordable alternative. This blog will examine the concept of single-visit crowns. We will also discuss their benefits, how they are performed, and what to consider. Understanding the advantages of one visit crowns can help you make informed choices about your dental treatment. Let’s dive into the details.

What Are One-Visit Crowns (One-Visit Crowns)?

One-visit Crowns, also called same-day or CEREC crowns can be designed and fabricated in one dental appointment. One-visit dental crowns are a convenient alternative to traditional crowns, which require multiple appointments and temporary restorations.

One-Visit crowns have many advantages

One of the most significant advantages of a one-visit dental crown is the ability to save time. Patients who had traditional crowns had to make multiple appointments and wear temporary crowns while they waited for the final restoration. One-visit crowns eliminate this step, allowing patients the opportunity to receive their permanent restoration in just one visit. This saves time and reduces inconvenience.

Digital technology also offers convenience. One-visit Crowns utilize advanced CAD/CAM Technology, where digital images are taken with a 3D scanner. The crown is then designed and milled by computer-guided programs and a milling device.

This eliminates messy, uncomfortable traditional impressions. Crown fabrication can be precise and accurate.

The Procedure

The process of getting an one-visit dental crown involves a few steps. First, the dentist will remove any decayed areas or damaged parts of the tooth. The 3D scanner is used to create a digital impression of the teeth instead of a physical one. This creates an accurate digital model of your tooth. Then, using specialized software, you can design the crown.

The crown is then milled right in the dental clinic once the design is completed. This milling procedure usually takes between 15-20 minutes. After the crown has been milled, a dentist will make the necessary adjustments to ensure the crown fits properly and matches the surrounding tooth.

Finaly, the crown is bonded onto the tooth with dental adhesives. The dentist will check that the crown has been firmly placed and make any necessary adjustments to the bite or aesthetics. In one visit, the dentist can create a dental crown that is fully functional and looks natural.

Consideration

While one-visit dental crowns are beneficial, there are some things to consider. First, this technology may not be available in all dental practices. It’s crucial to find a dental practice that has the CAD/CAM equipment and is experienced in providing crowns in just one visit.

The durability and lifespan of one-visit dental crowns can also be affected by the materials used and the oral habits of the patient. Maintaining good oral hygiene, such as regular brushing and flossing, as well as dental check-ups is important to ensure the durability of the crown.

Consult Your Dentist

It’s important to consult your dentist in order to determine whether a one-visit crowned is suitable for you. They will assess your particular situation, evaluate the state of your tooth and discuss the treatment options that are available to you. Your dentist can make recommendations that are tailored to your budget, oral health and preferences.

One-visit crowns are an alternative to traditional crown procedures that is convenient and saves time. Thanks to digital technology advancements, it is now possible to design, fabricate and place a permanent crown in just one dental appointment. One-visit dental crowns are time efficient, offer digital precision, and eliminate the need for temporary restorations.

Consult your dentist to find out if one-visit crowns are suitable for your case. By educating yourself and exploring your options, you will be able to make informed decisions about your dental health and enjoy the convenience that comes with one-visit crows.

One Visit Crowns

When other dental practices provide patients with porcelain restorations such as veneers and crowns, they often require patients to schedule multiple appointments and in-between, use a temporary restoration until the final one comes in from the dental laboratory. At Dream Dentistry, we understand that our patients have busy lifestyles and want to make restorative dental work faster and more convenient. This includes offering one visit crowns, veneers, and bridges at our Longview, WA area practice.

What is one visit dentistry?

One visit dentistry means that patients can have dental restorations planned, prepared, and placed during a single appointment at Dream Dentistry. This is highly desirable by our patients because it saves time and money, and eliminates patients having to come back to have a temporary restoration removed. Dr. William Lesh creates the restorations in the office by taking digital impressions of the prepared teeth and converting them into CAD/CAM software. This digital image is then processed by our CEREC machine which mills the final restoration out of a block of porcelain-all while patients wait in the chair! One visit dentistry has completely changed the process required for fabricating and placing dental restorations and continues to be a popular option for our patients.

What can I expect during my CEREC one visit dentistry appointment?

●  Diagnosis. First, Dr. William Lesh will diagnose the patient’s unique situation to determine if a dental restoration can help restore the tooth. ●  Preparation. Second, the tooth is prepared depending on the restoration being placed. ●  Imaging. Third, digital impressions are taken and converted into the CAD/CAM software. ●  Creation. Fourth, with these digital images, the CEREC system creates the restoration right in the office in less than 15 minutes! ●  Placement. Fifth, the dentist bonds the new restoration onto the prepared tooth to complete the process.

What Is a One-Visit Crown?

Posted by DENTAL HEALTH PC on Apr 8 2022, 09:00 AM

Sometimes, a tooth breaks amidst a hectic work schedule and busy family engagements. To restore the complete structure of the tooth, a filling may not be enough. The dentist may prescribe a crown to restore the functionality and strength of a tooth.

Receiving a dental crown that takes multiple dental appointments may sound discouraging, using up your time and money. Thankfully, cutting-edge dental technology provides you with single-visit crowns in which the crown can be placed in just one visit to the dentist's office.

Need for a Single-Visit Dental Crown

A dental crown is a tooth-colored cap to cover the impairment of the tooth by restoring the shape, size, strength, and appearance of a tooth. They are a safe and permanent restorative option to modify the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Here are some reasons why you should opt for the One-Visit crown.

  • Immediate restoration of broken or damaged teeth
  • Strengthening of a root-canal-treated tooth
  • Covering a dental implant
  • Improvement of the aesthetic appearance of the tooth
  • Recommended to people with intense dental phobia

Procedure for One-Visit Crown

One-Visit Dental Crown is an affordable and efficient method to protect a weakened tooth and can impress others with a healthier, and better-looking smile. Initially, the patient will be administered local anesthesia to numb the teeth and surrounding area. Then, the dentist removes the damaged and decayed part of a tooth and sets the area to place the crown to protect against further oral issues.

A mold of the tooth is made with a dental scanner and the process of fabricating the crown is completed within one to two hours. A custom-made crown is effectively placed within the same day of appointment by eliminating the need for temporary crowns and repeated dental visits.

Top 8 Benefits of One-Visit Crown

One Visit Dentistry

Too busy for two dental visits.

Technology has changed our everyday lives; smart phones, smart watches, tablets and self-driving cars are becoming the norm, yet many people are unaware that technology impacts the healthcare industry as well, including dentistry, in new and exciting ways. Cutting-edge innovations in dental require less time in the dental chair, decrease discomfort and create satisfying results. Our single-visit solution, CEREC®, allows dentists to quickly restore damaged teeth natural-colored ceramic fillings and produce excellent orthodontic care while saving patients time and money.

What is CEREC?

CEREC (chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics) is a single-visit solution used by thousands of dentists worldwide. CEREC uses a high-quality ceramic material (and now zirconia) that matches the natural color of the patient’s teeth to provide patients the perfect outcome. Efficient, convenient and simple, dentists around the world are quickly switching to single-visit dentistry with CEREC.

How does the instrument work?

CEREC uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology that incorporates a small, hand-held camera and a computer in one instrument, and a milling unit to grind/mill restorations in-house. The camera is used to capture the 2D or 3D image of the affected tooth/teeth and the surrounding area. This image is then displayed on a computer screen where the dentist then uses the special CEREC Software to create the perfect restorative tooth/teeth. Once the virtual restoration is created, the information is then sent to the milling unit via software and milled onsite within 8-10 minutes.

What does this innovation mean for a patient?

CEREC offers natural-looking crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays that are compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. The days of temporaries, messy impressions and waiting days for the lab to return the restoration are history. CEREC has three decades of clinical research and documentation to support our technology, and restorations completed with CEREC have been proven precise, safe and effective.

How can I find out if this is an option for me?

Call the office of Dr. Lucas Marrs at 317-849-3597 . We will be happy to answer your questions on this new technology.

Is It Possible to Have A Root Canal Done in One Visit?

The root canal is the hollow part inside a tooth that houses the nerve endings and living tissue. It’s called the pulp. The most effective treatment for an infected tooth is to get rid of the infected pulp and seal it permanently. Greenlake Dental has one of the best endodontists in Seattle that offers root canal treatment.

Root Canal Treatment

During root canal treatment, the dentist uses a dental instrument to open the tooth’s crown to access the infected pulp cavity. The dentist then files the canal to slightly widen the canal, and treatment fluids are put inside to remove the damaged tissue, clean the area and disinfect the entire root canal of the tooth. The dentist then fills the roots with a natural rubber substance called gutta-percha to prevent reinfection and permanently seal the tooth’s opening. Traditionally, treatment involved multiple visits to the dentist. Recently, some dentists have completed the root canal in a single visit.

$20 Consultation (Invisalign, Botox, Implants)

In-house whitening special- $200 off (normally $600), multiple visits.

Many root canal treatments require two visits. The first session involves the removal of the damaged parts, cleaning, and disinfection. The second appointment involves treatment filling and closure of the root canal. The dentist puts some medication such as calcium hydroxide paste on the tooth to ensure total disinfection. The first and the second visit usually ranges between one to three weeks. If the dentist suspects you have other infections, they prefer multiple visit treatment plans to contain flares up if they occur. Furthermore, there is complete disinfection since the process goes on for a more extended period. Dentists also prefer multiple visits for monitoring of the healing process. Most of these cases involve patients with a complicated medical history.

Single Visit

In pursuit of convenience and efficiency, advanced technology and sophisticated tools have made it possible for the dentist to complete the root canal in one visit. Initially, dentists want to confirm no flare-ups before sealing the tooth. For that reason, a root canal is completed nowadays in a single visit. According to recent research, sealing the tooth on the same day is highly effective and helps wade infections. The traditional approach, which did not fill the root canal on the same day, encouraged the formation of bacteria inside the pulp before sealing, which often led to reinfection. A single visit treatment is beneficial since you receive the treatment on the same day, thus saving time and costs. It also reduces the disruptions in your schedule. However, not everyone qualifies for a one-time visit to root canal treatment. Several factors may bar you from receiving the procedure.

  • If the tooth requires secondary treatment
  • When the tooth in question is multi-rooted such as premolar or molar
  • During emergencies, since the dentist’s priority will be to ease pain before deriving an ideal treatment plan
  • In case the tooth is badly damaged and requires more detailed cleaning.

Single-visit root canal treatments are beneficial to the patient and the dentist. They find it easy to treat a condition on a single visit since familiarity with the patient, tooth, and root canal is unnecessary since everything completes in a single sitting.

Although both single and multi-visit treatments are used in root canal treatment effectively, the single-visit treatments are most effective due to the reduced flare-ups. You also save on time which is beneficial. Depending on your situation, both the single visit and the multiple visit approaches may be ideal for you. At Greenlake Dental, our expert dentists have tremendous experience and handle each case independently. They will evaluate your situation and advice you on the best treatment approach. They will perform a single-visit root canal treatment if you have an excellent medical history. Alternatively, they will recommend the detailed multiple visit treatment plan when you don’t qualify for the single visit plan.   Click to listen highlighted text! South Lake Union dental office hit by thieves 3 times in one night

by Hannah Knowles, KOMO News Reporter

Seattle dental office broken into 3 times in one night, owner says (South Lake Union Dentist Office)

SEATTLE — The South Lake Union Dentist Office shared new surveillance video after a group of thieves broke into their building three times in one night.

The dental office manager, Stephanie Mendoza, told KOMO News that the next-door apartment building was also broken into on the same night.

Mendoza said the thieves stole around $3,000 in merchandise. All of the break-ins happened Sunday night from 10:00 pm to midnight. The video shows the group of people entering the building through the back door where the trash facilities are.

Mendoza said she believes someone left the garage door open, which is how they were able to get into the building.

"At night, there's not a ton of foot traffic in this area, which is why I think apartment buildings are targeted more often," Mendoza said. "They took the safe, laptops, iPads, and the key box, which had the master key to the entire building."

Mendoza said she first realized something was wrong when she got a notification her iPad was in Lynnwood.

"I knew that wasn't right, and I tracked my iPad to Lynnwood. Super violating to know someone has all our stuff."

A new TV and electric bike were also stolen from the apartment building the same night the detail office was broken into.

Kamala Harris Raises $500 Million in One Month as Enthusiasm Grows: Report

V ice President Kamala Harris has reportedly raised a staggering $500 million for her presidential campaign less than one month after entering the race.

Harris has been riding a wave of Democratic enthusiasm since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed her on July 21, achieving a record-breaking fundraising haul that included an unprecedented $81 million in donations during the first 24 hours of her candidacy.

Fundraising for the Harris campaign, now with the addition of running mate Tim Walz , appears to be continuing at a dizzying pace while this year's Democratic National Convention ( DNC ) takes place in Chicago.

By Tuesday, just four weeks into her campaign, Harris had taken in around $500 million, according to a report from Reuters that cites four anonymous sources "familiar with the fundraising effort."

Newsweek reached out for comment to the Harris-Walz campaign via email on Tuesday evening.

"Wow," former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger , who supports Harris, wrote while sharing the Reuters report to X, formerly Twitter .

"Holy moly! Kamala Harris has raised HALF A BILLION DOLLARS in ONE MONTH," wrote @TrumpsTaxes. "$500,000,000 over the course of just four weeks. Insane."

"Harris has raised $500M in the month since she launched her campaign. Seems quite likely she will end up raising more money than any campaign in history, despite starting on July 21," @snowmanomics wrote .

Of the reported $500 million, $200 million was raised during the first week of Harris' campaign, with a total of $310 million raised in July. In comparison, the campaign of former President Donald Trump reported raising a total of $138.7 million during July.

Combined with funds raised by Biden prior to his exit, the Democratic ticket had reportedly raised over $1 billion by the end of July, reaching the milestone quicker than any presidential campaign in U.S. history.

Donations to Harris came mostly in the form of small contributions from individuals, including at least 2 million first-time donors in July alone.

In addition to strong fundraising, polls have shown that the vice president has dramatically seized the momentum of the race since taking her place at the top of the Democratic ticket.

An average of recent polls from FiveThirtyEight shows Harris leading Trump by 2.8 percent as of Tuesday. Trump had an average lead of 3.2 percent over Biden just before the incumbent president withdrew.

The Harris-Walz campaign will be hoping to keep the momentum going at the DNC this week. Harris is expected to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a concluding speech on Thursday night.

The event has already brought in an array of Democratic stars hoping to help Harris across the finish line in November, with former President Barack Obama expected to close out the festivities on Tuesday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a YouTube star after just one day of posting videos

Cristiano Ronaldo

Soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo is adding YouTube star to his list of accolades.

The Portuguese athlete racked up more than 24 million subscribers on the platform since posting his first video to his "UR Cristiano" channel on Wednesday.

Ronaldo, who plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr, celebrated his rapid subscriber growth in a video on his Instagram Thursday , where he is seen showcasing a golden YouTube plaque given to users who reach Creator Award subscriber milestones .

Ronaldo joined YouTube on July 8, according to his channel's bio page. But his first videos were published on Wednesday.

As of Thursday, he's uploaded 19 videos, seven of which are Reels and 12 of which are traditional videos. Most of the videos are around three minutes or less and focus on Ronaldo, his family and his lifestyle.

The international sports star first posted that he was branching out on YouTube in an Instagram post on Wednesday, telling his fans that he had a “big surprise” for them.

Off of YouTube, Ronaldo has garnered a gargantuan following on social media. His X account has more than 112.6 million followers and his Facebook page has 170 million followers. On Instagram, he has 636 million followers — the most followers just slightly behind the official account for Instagram. (The third most-followed person on Instagram is soccer player Lionel Messi).

Representatives for Ronaldo declined to comment.

Pedro Pina, vice president of YouTube Europe, Middle East and Africa, congratulated Ronaldo in a statement.

“YouTube’s dream team-up with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been a labour of love and dedication," he said. "And watching his channel explode is pure gold! This is just the kick-off to an epic adventure, and we’re strapped in for the ride. Massive congrats to Cristiano and his squad! And let’s keep those SIUUUUUUUBSCRIPTIONS rolling in!”

Ronaldo, who has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, is not the first athlete to share his life with his fans on YouTube.

Stephen Curry, the history-making Golden State Warriors player, has more than 1.76 million followers on his YouTube channel . Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who describes himself as the “biggest YouTuber in NFL history,” has 1.46 million followers on his channel .

However, every athlete on the platform is outpaced by creator Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, who holds YouTube's top channel spot with 311 million subscribers .

Kentucky basketball will get the final visit for one of their top 2025 targets

Andrew stefaniak | aug 22, 2024.

Greenfield Central's Braylon Mullins during a scrimmage against Lawrence North at the Notre Dame Team Camp at Rolfs Athletics Hall on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in South Bend.

  • Kentucky Wildcats

One player that Coach Mark Pope really wants to land in the 2025 class is four-star Braylon Mullins. The 6'5 two-guard is getting closer to a decision, and the Wildcats are in a really good spot.

After Malachi Moreno committed on Friday, he said, "I’m gonna make sure he puts this (Kentucky shirt) on.” So the Wildcat's only current commit, along with the coaching staff, will do everything possible to make sure Mullins picks Kentucky.

Mullins is ranked as the 26th-best player in the 2025 class according to On3's composite rankings, but he will be a five-star when it is all said and done.

The sharpshooter has set up a handful of official visits to schools like Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and Tennessee, but the Wildcats will be getting the ever-so-important final visit.

Mullins will be in Lexington for a visit on the weekend of October 25th, and he has said he would like to make his college decision between this day and the 26th of November.

Getting the final visit for a recruit is always a good thing because it means the recency bias is on your side. Coach Pope will have that going for him as he tries to finish the job and land the elite 2025 recruit.

Kentucky has a really good shot to land Mullins, and it looks like Kentucky commit Moreno will do everything in his power to make sure he teams up with Mullins in college.

This is a name for Big Blue Nation to monitor as Mullins gets closer and closer to making his college decision.
