The currency in Dubai is the dirham, which is shortened to AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham). One dirham is divided into 100 fils. The dirham has been pegged to the US dollar since 1997, meaning the exchange rate never changes. One US dollar is worth AED3.67.

Dubai is a cosmopolitan city and a diverse melting pot where almost all attires and cultural expressions are accepted. Swimwear is permissible at beaches, waterparks, public pools and spa areas but is not considered appropriate in areas such as business districts and shopping malls.

Dressing conservatively is appreciated in Dubai's historic neighbourhoods and places of worship. There are specific requirements for entering a mosque, like wearing clothing that covers shoulders, arms and legs – and headscarves for women.

Marhaba! Dubai is a warm and friendly city and you will come across many people who will greet you with a smile and wish you well. A handshake is customary, but do note it is typically accepted that this should be initiated by women.

Public displays of affection are best kept to a minimum. Holding hands is acceptable, but kissing and hugging in public areas is not permitted.

Alcohol is served in licensed establishments such as hotels, bars and specialised shops to those over 21 years of age. However, drunk and disorderly conduct and drunk driving are not acceptable. Use or possession of illegal drugs is also strictly prohibited.

Dubai is home to hundreds of nationalities and both Arabic and English are spoken across the city. Learning a few Arabic words can certainly make the trip more memorable! As you explore the city you're very likely to hear Russian, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, Portuguese and many other languages. Follow our detailed guide for a list of handy phrases.

Many medicines used worldwide are readily available in pharmacies and hospitals across Dubai, but as in most countries, there are some medications which are restricted or prohibited for use in the UAE.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has full details of controlled or prohibited medications, plus information on what documents you need to carry with you if you need to bring a controlled medication into Dubai. MOHAP also issues a permit to import medicines into the UAE, which you can apply for on their website .

While the permit is optional, it is strongly recommended to obtain it prior to your trip as it will help ensure you have all the correct information and documents. You must also bring your official prescription from the issuing authority of where you are receiving treatment. Please note you can carry medicines for a maximum period of three months. If you have any questions, or want to check the status of a particular medication, contact your local UAE embassy, or get in touch with MOHAP .

To tip or not to tip? The short answer is, there are no rules when it comes to tipping in Dubai. How much you tip varies from profession to profession, and is also largely down to personal preference. It is customary to offer a little extra in most cases, but it certainly isn’t compulsory. Everyone arrives in Dubai with their own customs and expectations, but one thing that's always consistent is the high level of service.

Jd logistics launches its second warehouse in dubai.

JD Logistics recently announced the opening of its second warehouse in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Joining the company’s global logistics network, the new warehouse can provide end-to-end supply chain services that cover Asia, Africa and Europe for local and cross-border merchants.

Twenty-minute drive from the Port of Jebel Ali, this warehouse is located in Dubai Industrial City, with an area of 12,000 square meters, providing logistics services ranging from concentrated transportation, sea transportation, air transportation, transition, customs clearance to warehousing, sorting, labeling, dropshipping and more, for both bulky and small to medium-sized products, and meeting both B2C and B2B fulfilment requirements. Adopting JD Logistics’ self-developed management system, the warehouse can digitally manage inbound and outbound inventory, thus precisely predicting the trends and allocating distribution resources accordingly to improve logistics efficiency.

Fordeal is an emerging cross-border e-commerce platform in the Middle East. Leveraging the self-developed warehouse management system, JD Logistics helps Fordeal build an intelligent inventory management system which can manage inventory digitally and make forecasts and plans accurately. JD Logistics also provides an intelligent packing recommendation system to save more packaging materials. Since cooperating with JD, Fordeal’s warehousing costs has been reduced by 30 percent, while fulfillment accuracy reached 99.5 percent. Fordeal’s order outbound time has also been shortened to 12 hours from 24 hours.

“JD Logistics provides us with customized services and a special team to handle inventory,” said Yun Qing, head of Fordeal warehousing in Dubai. “It is amazing that with the help of JD Logistics, our warehousing efficiency doubled and costs decreased by 30 percent.”

At the same time, cross-border merchants can choose to stock their goods in this local warehouse that is nearer to their customers. For example, sales of some Chinese cross-border merchants increased by 3 times, as the local warehousing service greatly speeds up of delivery time. Chinese merchants can also choose to deliver goods to one of JD’s warehouses in China, and JD Logistics will help handle the rest of the work including international transportation, transition, customs clearance, warehousing, last-mile delivery and more.

Siyuan Yue, head of JD Logistics Dubai Warehouse said that, “Powered by digital capabilities, JD’s warehouse in Dubai provides clients with integrated logistics solutions, optimizing the international transportation routes greatly.”

As early as in 2020, JD Logistics began to operate in the Middle East, and its first warehouse was launched in the largest free trade zone in the region, Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), offering logistics services spanning GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries and reaching to continent Africa. As a leading integrated supply chain service supplier, JD Logistics operates over 1,500 warehouses in China, in addition to approximately 90 bonded warehouses, international direct mail warehouses and overseas warehouses globally.

Jd.com showcases cutting-edge supply chain innovations at 2024 china international fair for trade in services (ciftis).

JD.com unveiled its latest digital supply chain technology advancements at the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), held in Beijing from September 12 to 16. As a global partner of CIFTIS for the fifth consecutive year, JD.com demonstrated its commitment to driving digital transformation across industries. Notably, JD Cloud’s digital human powered by its ChatRhino (or Yanxi in Chinese) large language model (LLM) and JD Health’s Dermatology Service Platform were recognized with the “China Service Practice Case” and “Innovation Demonstration Case” awards, respectively.

JD Cloud’s ChatRhino AI digital human, a pioneering innovation in the field, played a key role during JD.com’s 618 Shopping Festival, becoming the first large-scale commercialized digital human in the industry. Developed entirely in-house, ChatRhino has supported over 5,000 brands, increased idle time conversion rates by over 30%, and logged more than 40 million hours of live streaming with a reach of over 100 million viewers and more than five million user interactions, the digital human has driven over RMB 10 billion in gross merchandise value.

In April 2023, JD Health launched China’s first online skin hospital , featuring over 6,000 registered doctors, including more than 3,500 from top-tier hospitals. Using JD Health’s Jingyi Qianxun (京医千询) LLM, the platform integrates vast medical expertise to deliver smart diagnostic support. The Dermatology Service Platform streamlines the diagnostic process at every stage of patient care, improving treatment efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of medical care.

At CIFTIS 2024, JD.com also introduced several breakthrough retail technologies, including JD.Vision, an early native application for Apple Vision Pro ; Jingyan （京言）, an AI assistant for e-commerce; and Jingdiandian （京点点）, an AIGC-powered content generation platform. JD Logistics presented a virtual logistics park leveraging digital twin technology to simulate operations such as storage, packaging, sorting, and highlighted carbon-neutral logistic park practices. JD Industrials launched the “TAIPU”(太璞) digitally intelligent supply chain solution, tailored to optimize demand, procurement, fulfillment, and operations for industrial products. Additionally, JD Finance presented its suite of digital financial products and services, including consumer finance, payments, and wealth management.

JD’s exhibition also highlighted its digital and physical supply chain integration advancements across various business sectors. Key initiatives included cross-border e-commerce operations through JD Worldwide , omnichannel retail by ochama (JD.com’s Europe-based brand), country-specific online flagship stores known as JD National Pavilions , and on-demand retail and instant delivery service under JD Now . These innovations attracted significant attention and reinforced  JD.com’s leadership in advancing the digital transformation of supply chains.

The recently-launched China-Malaysia JD Express service is expected to further enhance the shopping experience for Malaysian consumers.

• Full payment will be accepted in Indian Rupees only.
• Rates are valid on Minimum of 20Adults Travelling together
• GST 5% & TCS Extra applicable on total tour cost as per Indian Govt. rules.
• To grant or issue visa is a sole prerogave of parcular embassy. Consulate General/Immigraon Officer, We JD WORLD TOURS PVT. LTD. is not responsible for any of decision either Visa approved or rejected. Even all passengers must have to coming back to India as per tour duraon.
• If required & proper documents are not submied on me then JD WORLD TOURS cannot guarantee for visa, ckets and other expenses & cost occurring in the tour
• Hotels can be upgraded as per the individual/family/group taste & preferences but will be charged extra for the same.
• Any tour cancellation depends upon the weather or natural disorder. We will try our best to provide alternative tour.
• Rates are based on Dubai to Dubai transfer with Air Ticket, Hotel Booking & All Sight Seeing as per the Tour inerary.
• Payment can be made on case to case basis unl unless credit facility approved.
• Full payment for the group booking or FIT packages should be made before 45 days of journey of the Tour date. (Depend on Offer to offer)
• Half-Day or Full-Day tours are all without meals unless stated in the Package.
• No preference/priority would be given for the order of sing in vehicles & rooms in hotel for any tours.
• JD WORLD TOURS PVT. LTD. will not be responsible for any disturbance in the trip due to circumstances beyond our control such as coviD-19 road blocks, vehicle malfuncon &other condions like war, riot, sickness, disaster or any natural problems & any personal problems of any Passengers.
• JD WORLD TOURS PVT. LTD. will not be responsible for any kind of services or Compensaon in case of death, accident, injury or any loss of baggage etc. All the Tourist are advised to insure them-sell by internaonal tourist insurance or medi-claim for any for any emergency during foreign tours.
• Photography of Local Ladies, Military & some Government Instuon is not Permied. Permission is also required to photograph local residents
• Since our safari tours includes off-road driving & Jumping on the Sand Dunes it is not advisable for pregnant ladies to ride in Desert Safari. Children below 4 years are only allowed under parent's responsibility. These tours are not recommended for those having back pain or heart problems or any phobia.
• Child rates apply for ages 2 to 6 years for tours. Infant below 2 years would be chargeable for visa & Air Ticket but free for hotels & tours.
• Normal Check-in Time is 1400 hrs & Check-out me is 1200 hrs. for hotels & apartment.
• Any Police Custody due to Breach of any law of India or UAE., Crime, Misbehave of any other reason is not JD WORLD TOURS responsibility it is a self responsibility of all tourist.
• All tourist are requested to check, watch & Confirm air line messages for scheduled departure me. In case of re-scheduling or cancellaon of flights, the passengers are requested to contact the concern air lines immediately.
• All Tourist must reach at the airport before 4hrs. prior to scheduled departure of flight, to get the boarding pass, JD WORLD TOURS will not be responsible for the tourist missing the flights due any reasons.
• All services such as airline seats, hotel accommodation, ground transportation, and local sightseeing are pre-blocked and paid to suppliers in advance. Therefore, the tour amount will remain non-refundable, depending on the number of days before the passenger cancels the tour.
• If you wish to cancel your tour, you must inform us in writing.
• Cancellation will attract charges as per the below policy, which includes administration charges and other expenses.
• Service tax or any government tax will not be refundable under any circumstances.
• 60 Days to 15 Days prior to Departure date - Apart from flight ticket value, remaining amount shall be refunded.
• 15-0 Days prior to Departure date - no refund shall be granted.
