REVIEW: Graphite Design Tour AD-GP Shaft

There is no mistaking the unique and special graphics on a  Graphite Design Tour AD shaft . The stripes below the grip indicate a Graphite Design shaft, no matter the color. You will easy spot top ranked professional and amateur golfers using Tour AD shafts by their graphics. New for this year is the Tour AD GP with the same great looks in an aqua blue color or for those who want a more subtle look, they offer it in black too.

As Graphite Design says, “The Tour AD GP, like its predecessors, utilizes premium, aerospace quality 50t carbon-fiber materials in order to deliver the best feeling and performing shaft available to golfers.” This was evident from the first time I hit a ball with this shaft. The feel and performance were excellent.  The Tour AD GP may be the best feeling shaft you’ll ever hit.

• TORAYCA ® T1100G carbon-fiber pre-preg with NANOALLOY ® technology for increased stability in the mid to tip region and unsurpassed feel.
• 50 ton ultra-premium, high modulus, aerospace quality carbon fiber materials.

The  Graphite Design Tour AD GP was near perfect for my game except for one area. The spin was a bit too high for my taste which led to a higher vertical landing than I would prefer. I attribute this to the bend profile that has been engineered into the shaft. “The Tour AD GP is designed with a very stiff tip and stiffer mid to butt section to promote a mid-launch condition and low spin.”  Although I didn’t find this lower spin, it comes from my swing flaw of an early release.  When I put this shaft into the hands of a golfer with more lag he found some serious distance.   His later release in the swing allowed him to maximize the technology and feel for excellent distance.

RETURN COSTS & RESTOCKING FEE (NON-ASSEMBLED ITEMS)

There are no restocking fees. However the cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund ($11 for standard size packages, $13 for non-standard size packages such as golf shafts), if you decide to use the label provided by us. If you purchase a label yourself from a local carrier office (ie. USPS, UPS, Fedex), then there will be no deductions from your refund. If the items received are not in new/unused condition, we reserve the right to send the items back to you, or deduct a restocking fee from your refund. 

RETURN COSTS & RESTOCKING FEE (ASSEMBLED ITEMS)

Assembled shafts and clubs cannot be returned.  Once assembly has begun on your order, it cannot be canceled or modified.  Please contact us with any questions before placing your order.

Returns can be made on non-personalized items and non-assembled items within the US, 60 days after you've received the original order. Items are only accepted on unopened and unused products . Items must be returned in the original packaging.

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

Sorry, we are not accepting any international returns at this time.

Refunds are normally processed back to the original account (ie. credit card or PayPal). If you prefer store credit, please include this note of the refund request.

HOW TO CREATE A RETURN (ITEMS RETURNED MUST BE IN NEW & UNUSED CONDITION)

1) Access your order history, and request a return here

2) Your return request will be responded to within 1 business day (not including Sat/Sun/holidays). If the request is approved, we will e-mail you a return label. 

3) Package up the original order and drop off the package at your local carrier.

4) After 1-2 weeks after receiving the return order, we will process and issue your refund (original paid price of items returned minus cost of return shipping) to the original payment account. 

DID WE MAKE A MISTAKE?

If there was an issue with your order (the wrong was delivered, or the product arrived damage due to carrier neglect), we will ask you to send us some pictures. If the item is confirmed to be incorrect, we will provide a return label to send back the items. Once the items are back in our warehouse, we will resend your order with the correct items. We cannot ship out a replacement order until the original items are received back. For damanged items, we will open a claim with the carrier, and once the claim is approved, we will send the replacement item. 

CANCELATION REQUESTS

While we do our best to process cancelation requests, our shipping team works fast, and we cannot guarantee that your order will be canceled

If we are able to cancel the order for you, there will be a 5% restocking fee deducted from the refund.

RISK OF LOSS

All purchases of physical items from Grips4less are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

Designed and manufactured at the Graphite Design Japan factory headquarters, the tour AD GP wood shaft is available in 45g R2, R1 and S flex, 55g R2, R1 and S flex, 65g SR, S and X flex, 75g S and X flex and 85g S and X flex.

The Tour AD GP -6 and -7 models are also available in a Black color scheme and are called Tour AD GP – Black Edition. The shaft structure of the Tour AD GP Black Edition shafts are exactly the same as the Tour AD GP Teal color shafts and the only difference is the color.
