Situated in the Northern part of Mahasamund district, the wildlife sanctuary was established during 1976 on a huge area of 245 Sq.km. The sanctuary is a huge hit and ranks the seventh position in the popular attractions of Raipur.
Highlights – Lying on a flat and terrain area, the sanctuary gives shelter to number of Tigers, leopards, porcupine, pythons, antelopes, bison and many other species. As you walk in through the muddy paths, parrots, herons, egrets, black bucks, porcupines, monkeys, pea fowl and other species are sure to catch your attention, and you are sure to get surprised by seeing the barking deers.

Shri Rajiv Lochan Mandir
RajivaLochana Mandir literally means “the beautiful one-eyes” and represents Lord Vishnu. The temple depicts significantly the example of the architecture of Mahakosala.
Highlights – The temple consists of twelve pillars, each of the pillars are beautifully carved with figures of various God and Goddess like – Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama, Lord Narasimha and Goddess Durga. Standing at the congregation of three rivers – Pairy, Sondhu and Mahanadi, the temple impresses its tourists with its main design made of Chaitya arch wooden motif. If you observe closely you can also make out that the shrine entrance has been adorned with the sculptures of Snake Goddess.

Danteshwari Temple
The Warangal ancestral deity of the Chalukya kings got established as Danteshwari near the congregation of Dankini River and Shankini River and hence this place was named as Danteshwari.
Highlights – This temple is built in dedication to Goddess Danteshwari, the highlight of this temple is that this is one of the 52 Shakthi peethas in the Whole country. As per the legends this is the place where the tooth or Daanth of Sati fell during the Satya Yuga. The Goddess is taken out for a huge procession during the Dusshera time and hence tourists can pay homage to this temple during this time and also light the Jyoti Kalashas.

Chitrakot Waterfalls
The waters of River Indr?vati flows from the Vindhu Mountain range to form the Chitrakot waterfalls. Often called as India’s Niagara Falls, this is the top attraction and largest waterfalls of India and is great to visit during the rainy season.

1. ചിത്രകോട്ട് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം. ഛത്തീസ്ഗഡിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തമായ വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ, ചിത്രകോട്ട് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം അനിവാര്യമായും ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന സ്ഥാനം അർഹിക്കുന്നു. ജഗദൽപൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 50 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ഇതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം ബസ്തർ ജില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മിനി-നയാഗ്ര വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം എന്ന പേരിലും ഇത് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
എങ്ങനെ എത്തിച്ചേരാം. ജഗ്ദൽപൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 38 കിലോമീറ്റർ തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറ് മാറിയാണ് ചിത്രകൂട് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ എത്തിച്ചേരാൻ ബസ് സർവീസുകളെ ആശ്രയിക്കാം. ഒരു ദിവസം മൂന്നോ നാലോ ബസുകൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഇവിടേയ്ക്ക് സർവീസ് നടത്തുക. അഗ്രസെനിൽ നിന്നായിരിക്കും ഈ സർവീസുകൾ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ പറ്റിയ സമയം.
