Jurassic World takes live tour to Grand Rapids in the fall

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Your favorite dinosaurs and heroes are coming to center stage.

Jurassic World Live Tour is expected to play six performances at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids in the fall, according to a news release.

The shows are scheduled for Oct. 20-22, 2023.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Tuesday. Pre-sale tickets are available to those who register as preferred guests.

The performances are expected to feature 24 life-sized dinosaurs, including fan-favorite Velociraptor Blue and a Tyrannosaurus rex more than 40 feet in length, organizers said.

The stage is transformed into the dense jungles of Isla Nublar, "where real Gyrospheres roll through the valley and scientists work to unravel a corrupt plan and save a new dinosaur from a terrible fate," organizers said.

Guests who arrive a hour before showtime would have the opportunity to see the dinosaurs and vehicles up close.

• Friday, Oct. 20 - 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Oc. 21 - 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct. 22 - 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The characters and prehistoric creatures from Jurassic World are coming to life on the stage as the Jurassic World Live Tour is coming to Grand Rapids on October 20-22.

Jurassic World comes to life against a backdrop of captivating scenery where dinosaurs from the iconic franchise, including fan-favorite Velociraptor Blue and a Tyrannosaurus rex more than 40 feet in length, take center stage.

The production features more than 24 film-accurate, life-sized dinosaurs, with scale, speed, and ferocity, operated by animatronics and performers.

Guests will be able to start the adventure early with a special preshow experience included with show tickets. By arriving one hour before showtime, audience members can see their favorite Jurassic World dinosaurs and vehicles up close and personal, including photo opportunities with Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Baby Bumpy, and the iconic Jurassic World  Jeep and Gyrosphere.
