Europe is a magnificent continent that's so versatile in what it offers visitors to see and do. Here is just a fraction of the types of places you can visit during your holidays here:
Italy: A blend of good food, good wine and stunning sights - that's what Italy is famous for and is a must for anyone visiting Europe. There's possibly nowhere else on earth where you will find gelato, pizzas and pastas as delectable as what is available on holidays in Italy. Take a break from eating and visit the sinking city of Venice with its criss-crossing waterways or the ancient city of Rome with its world famous Colosseum and Pantheon or perhaps the famous leaning tower of Pisa.
Germany: Located in the heart of Europe, Germany has become a popular tourist destination for people visiting from across the world. The country combines stunning scenery with a vibrant culture and cities, to create an exciting destination for everyone to visit. The Black Forest and Christmas Markets are a particular highlight for people visiting this fascinating country.
France: Having delighted tourists for decades, France has become a popular destination for anyone holidaying in Europe. With its quaint coffee-shops, patisseries and bistros, France has truly become one of the culinary centres of Europe. Paris is one of the many cities within France that features high on every tourists 'to visit list' with famous sights such as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. The South Coast of France is a hotspot for beach holidays in places such as St Tropez .
Belgium: A destination steeped in history, fantastic food and culture, Belgium has become a fascinating place to visit for anyone who happens to find themselves in Europe. With strong connections to the conflicts of World War 1, Ypres has thousands of visitors each year who come to see the Menin Gate . Or perhaps pay a visit to Brussels, Belgium's capital city, steeped in history and full to the brim of cosmopolitan bars and restaurants to relax in.
To help you have an enjoyable holiday in Europe, take a look at these useful tips and advice provided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO):
Health and Travel Insurance When travelling to countries within Europe you should always be sure you have applied for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before leaving. Should you fall ill whilst on holiday, this card will entitle you to basic medical treatment as long as you present it whilst staying in countries within the European Economic Area. However, the card will only entitle you to state provided medical treatment. It is not valid for non-urgent or on-going treatment. Therefore, it is recommended that you always check you have the correct travel insurance which will cover the cost of treatment and repatriation as well should you need it. It is advisable that you have access to additional funds in case you have to pay for treatment whilst you're away.
Crime As with every country you visit it is important that you always remain alert to the risks of crime. In some European destinations, tourists are seen as easy targets, so where possible keep your valuables in the hotel safe and avoid carrying large quantities of cash.
Always buy your own drinks and never leave them unattended. Alcoholic beverages in foreign countries tend to be much stronger than in the UK, so it is wise to know your limits.
It would also be advisable to check the individual country pages before you leave to get a better idea of crime levels for where you are visiting.
Local Laws and Customs Countries across Europe will have different laws and customs so it is best to check the individual country before you travel.
Entry Requirements When British Citizens are travelling to most European Countries, no visa is needed for entry, however when entering Turkey you will need one. Therefore, it is best to check each individual country before travelling.
Passport validity also varies and some countries require a period of validity beyond the date you leave so it is best to check if this applies to the country you are visiting.
Any other nationality looking to visit countries in Europe must contact their local embassy to check visa and passport requirements.
Europe is the second smallest continent in the world and consists of just 4 million square miles.

Find out more about flights
- This tour visits the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. In order to enter these countries, U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of reentry.
- We recommend having at least one blank passport page for entry stamps.
- Beginning in 2025, U.S. and Canadian passport holders must register for an ETIAS travel authorization in order to enter many European countries.
- Passport holders from over 60 visa-exempt countries (including the U.S. and Canada) will need to apply for an ETIAS travel authorization in order to visit 30 European countries. That means that even if you’ve previously traveled to any of these European countries without a visa, starting in 2025, you’ll need to get ETIAS authorization to visit them again. If you’re traveling to multiple countries with this requirement, you only need to complete the form once. All Go Ahead travelers are responsible for obtaining their own ETIAS travel authorization before departure. For more details, please visit our Help Center .
- If you are not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you must contact each country’s consulate for your specific entry requirements.
- You can see the most up-to-date entry requirements for the destination(s) you’ll visit on tour by going to goaheadtours.com/entry-requirements and searching the code EUR.
- Round-trip flights booked through Go Ahead Tours arrive in London and depart from Rome (or Florence on the tour extension).
- Transfers to and from the airport at the beginning and end of the tour are included for travelers who purchased their flights through Go Ahead Tours. Travelers who booked their own flights are responsible for securing their own airport transfers.
- When you arrive in London, a driver from a private chauffeur service will be standing at the arrival hall with your name on a message board. If you do not see your driver, please be patient and stay in the arrivals area. They may be assisting another traveler who has also just arrived and will be back shortly.
Physical Activity Level
This is a high physical activity-level tour. You can expect to regularly be on the move throughout your trip.
Tour Pacing
This is a briskly paced tour. Tour pacing considers how often you’ll switch hotels, what you’ll do each day, and how you’ll get from place to place. You can expect:
- Two 1 night stays
- Most days full of included activities (more if you add excursions)
- Most transportation by motor coach
- Some transportation by train and boat
- Daily bus time varies and can be lengthy
Walking, Terrain & Physical Requirements
- Travelers should be prepared to walk 2-3 miles per day - this includes city streets, cobblestones, stairs, and hills.
- Cobblestone streets can become slick when wet.

- The terrain around the Roman Forum and the Colosseum includes inclines and uneven stairs.
- Travelers should be healthy enough to participate in all included walks without assistance.
- Please Note: Adding optional excursions may increase the total amount of walking on tour.
Climate Considerations
- In London, travelers can expect cool, cloudy, and rainy days throughout the year, with occasional heatwaves in the summer months (June-September).
- For most of central Europe, temperatures range from 40sF in winter to low-80sF in summer, with occasional heatwaves in the summer months (June-September).
- In Italy, temperatures range from 50sF in winter to 90sF in summer. In the summer months (June-September), travelers can expect heatwaves with temperatures consistently above 90F.
Physical Activity & Tour Pace Questions
- Go Ahead Tours and the Tour Director who accompanies your group are unable to provide special mobility or luggage-handling assistance to travelers on tour. The responsibility of the Tour Director is to ensure the whole group enjoys a smooth and informative journey, and they can’t be relied on to provide individualized assistance to any one traveler.
- This tour moves at a reasonable pace to avoid missing scheduled stops. The group can’t miss any activities because of an individual’s needs.
- Due to the pace and physical activity level of this tour, wheelchairs and walkers will be difficult to use and aren’t recommended. Please notify Go Ahead Tours before your departure if you plan to bring any mobility aids with you.

- Private motor coaches use steps for boarding, and often don’t provide ramps or lifts.
- This tour utilizes various modes of transportation, including train, boat, and private motor coach. To board some of them, you may have to climb raised platforms or steps.
- Train rides from London to Paris, Paris to Amsterdam, and Venice to Rome are included in the price of your tour.
- All other included transportation on this tour is by private motor coach.
- European train stations typically operate similarly to airports where security measures, such as baggage and body scanners, are common. Platforms are often spread out across large distances and require travelers to manage their luggage on escalators or stairs. Porterage services are not offered on train transfers and luggage storage on trains is extremely limited. Please keep in mind that trains may only be stopping at the stations for a few minutes; speed with loading and unloading may be imperative.
- You must be able to manage your own luggage while on tour, as porterage isn’t guaranteed. This includes when arriving at hotels or airports and boarding trains or ferries.
- Luggage storage on trains is extremely limited, and often requires travelers to lift their suitcases onto racks—sometimes located above their seats.
- You should be prepared to manage your bags during ferry transfers. This includes carrying them up and down boarding ramps, lifting them onto racks, and navigating spaces crowded with other people and motor vehicles.
- Elevators in hotels aren’t guaranteed.
- Some hotels on this tour are situated on narrow streets, so our buses can’t drop you off right out front. In these instances, you’ll have to walk your luggage to the property, no more than a few blocks.
- Please note that our travelers are limited to one checked bag and one carry-on bag per person due to storage limitations on motor coaches and trains.
- Some airlines may impose additional charges if you choose to exceed baggage size and weight restrictions. Be advised that you are responsible for any baggage fees incurred on all flights.
- Contact your airline(s) for baggage size and weight restrictions for your flights.
- Make sure you label your baggage and keep valuables, medication, and documents in your carry-on bag.
- Travelers must manage their own luggage throughout tour as porters are not guaranteed. This includes at hotels, airports, and boarding trains.
- Luggage storage on trains is extremely limited, and often requires travelers to lift their suitcases onto storage racks, sometimes above the seats.
- We recommend packing lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily layered to accommodate varying temperatures, as well as a light jacket or rainwear.
- A sturdy pair of walking shoes or sneakers is recommended for sightseeing.
- You may want to pack dressier attire if you plan to visit a high-end restaurant or attend a special performance.
- It is preferable not to visit churches or other religious sites with bare legs and shoulders (and entrance may be denied on this basis).
- We recommend packing a reusable water bottle to cut down on single use plastic waste.
- We recommend packing a universal adapter, as well as a voltage converter if you plan on using your own hairdryer or other device without a built-in converter.
- In case of emergencies, we also recommend packing your medical insurance card in your carry-on.
- Go Ahead handpicks every hotel you’ll stay at, striking a balance between comfort, location, and local charm.
- Specific properties will vary based on your departure date, but are typically three-to-four-star hotels; always include private bathrooms; and usually have in-room safes for valuables. Additionally, your hotels will have Wi-Fi, but access may be limited to common areas. There may also not be elevators.
- Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that your accommodations will have laundry services or facilities. We recommend checking directly with your hotels once they’ve been confirmed, about 30 days prior to departure.
- Some hotels on this tour are situated on narrow streets; as such, our buses can’t drop you off right out front. In these instances, you’ll have to walk your luggage to the property, no more than a few blocks.
- Please be advised that the strength of the air conditioning in European hotels/buildings is often not as strong or as cool as what you might be used to in the U.S. or Canada.
- England operates on the European standard 220-240 volts and uses a Type G plug with three large, flat pins.
- France, the Netherlands, and Germany operate on the European standard 220-240 volts and use Types C, E, or F plugs with two small, round pins.
- Switzerland operates on the European standard 220-240 volts and uses Types C or J plugs with two round pins or three round pins, respectively.
- Italy operates on the European standard 220-240 volts and uses Types C, F, or L plugs with two round pins or three round pins, respectively.
- Specific accommodations will vary based on your departure date.
- Excursions are available for purchase prior to departure, and most excursions will be available for purchase while you are on tour directly through your mobile app for an additional $10 USD.
- We recommend purchasing excursions at least 3 days prior to your tour departure. Please note some excursions have advance booking deadlines. Check your tour itinerary for more information to ensure you don’t miss the deadline to add them.
- Optional excursions may be canceled on tour due to reasons like low enrollment, weather or unexpected closures. If an excursion you signed up for is canceled by Go Ahead Tours, you will be refunded the full cost of the excursion. Please note it may take up to 60 days for your refund to be processed.
- Your Tour Director may offer their own optional excursions which can only be purchased on tour via cash (in local currency).
- At least 60 days prior to departure, check with your doctor or healthcare provider for the latest updates and entry requirements, or visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's website at cdc.gov .
- If you have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies, please notify Go Ahead Tours at least 30 days prior to your departure by logging in to your account and updating your traveler info. To update this information closer to your departure date, please contact our Customer Experience Team.
- If you have medication that you take daily, be sure you have enough for each day of the tour as well as any possible delays encountered.
- Most of our itineraries include headsets used during certain sightseeing tours so travelers can hear their guides or Tour Director. If you use an assisted listening device, such as a hearing aid or cochlear implant, please visit our Help Center for more information or contact our customer experience team. Please note that at this time not all our destinations offer headsets due to supplier limitations.
- The water is safe to drink throughout your tour unless posted otherwise.
- This tour includes one lunch and four dinners: They may be set menus, buffets, or family-style meals, depending on the location. Dinners also include one glass of beer, wine, or a soft drink, as well as water, coffee, and tea.
- Breakfast each morning is also included at the hotel and is typically buffet style with hot and cold options.
- For traditional English fare at a reasonable price, try a pub meal of fish and chips or bangers and mash. Stilton cheese, steak and kidney pie, and Cumberland sausages are also worth a try.
- Modern-day London boasts an array of diverse international restaurants. Popular options for the adventurous palate include Indian, Thai, Chinese, Indonesian, Greek, and West African cuisines. Sip afternoon tea with delicious finger sandwiches and scones at Harrods for the ultimate in English tradition.
- For a picnic with French flair, stop at a small grocery store for cheeses, pâtés, cured meats, fresh-baked bread, and fruit. In the cities, sidewalk vendors are known for their steaming crepes, while mouthwatering pastries and hot café au lait beckon from cafes. In restaurants, the prix fixe option is a popular way to enjoy a set three- or four-course menu for a good price.
- Although lunch is generally served from noon until 2pm in France, dinner is served from 7:30pm onward. Those wishing to eat earlier can stop at a cafe, where light entrées and sandwiches are available throughout the afternoon and evening.
- In the Netherlands, simply prepared meat and fish dishes, substantial soups, and hearty stews are local staples. Snack food traditionally features fish—you might try maatje, raw green herrings served with onions—but pancakes, french fries, doughnuts, and waffles are just as plentiful.
- German food is hearty and substantial. Among the specialties are dumpling stews, sauerkraut, sausages, smoked cheeses, and dark breads. Bavaria produces some of the world’s purest beers, and white German wines are exceptionally good.
- Swiss food is varied and sophisticated, and some popular dishes include sausages, breaded veal fillets, freshwater fish, and cheese dishes such as fondue and raclette. Be sure to try Swiss chocolate, which is among the world’s finest.
- Venice and Northern Italy are known for flavorful meats and pastries.
- Roman food is typically freshly prepared and varies depending on the season. Must-try bites include cacio e pepe (a simple dish of pasta, cheese and pepper) and supplí (a fried rice ball similar to Sicily's arancini).
- For more authentic meals, try local trattorias, small restaurants set away from the main piazzas. A typical Italian meal includes wines and the occasional beer, followed by a few sips of after-dinner drinks like grappa or limoncello.
- On the tour extension, Tuscany is world-famous for its wine, oil, sauces, and pasta. Menus favor subtle, lighter pastas and desserts made with nuts, fruit, and honey. Try a dish featuring the region’s Chianina beef, perhaps the most prized breed of cattle in all of Italy. For wine, popular Tuscan reds include Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which are primarily made from the Sangiovese grape. Well-known white wines are also made around the San Gimignano region.
- At the conclusion of your tour, it is customary to offer your Tour Director and driver a gratuity in local currency. Please keep current exchange rates in mind.
- We recommend tipping the equivalent of $10-$12USD per person per day for your Tour Director and the equivalent of $3USD per person per day for your driver.
- If applicable, we also recommend the equivalent of $2USD per local guide.
- Tips can only be paid in cash.
- If you are traveling to multiple countries with different currencies and the same Tour Director, ask them what currency they prefer for their tip.
- The cost of porterage is included in your tour price, and it is not necessary to tip baggage handlers.
- You will use the Pound sterling in England, the Swiss franc in Switzerland, and the euro in France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy.
- Better rates of exchange are usually available overseas, although it’s worth ordering some currency from your local bank to use when you first arrive.
- We strongly advise that you take debit/bank cards and credit cards, which can be used to withdraw cash at local banks as needed.
- You can use most debit/credit cards at ATMs on the international networks Cirrus and Plus, but make sure to check with your home bank about withdrawal fees.
- International banks and businesses primarily accept debit and credit cards that work with the EMV chip system. If you do not already have at least one debit or credit card with a chip in it, we strongly recommend requesting one from your bank prior to your tour.
- Plan ahead and bring cash to tip your tour director, local guides, and bus drivers. We also recommend keeping coins in the local currency on hand, as some public bathrooms may charge a fee for use.
- To help you feel prepared before going on tour, we strongly recommend downloading the EF Go Ahead Tours mobile app. It’s free and provides information about important deadlines and entry requirements, as well as your detailed itinerary, packing tips, and more. You can also connect with fellow travelers through the app’s chat feature.
- Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, though some charges may apply.
- There’s no Wi-Fi on any of the motor coaches.
- Please contact your mobile service provider for information on roaming charges.
- Your Tour Director will lead your group. Their role is not only to provide information and context on the destinations you visit, but also to confirm services, coordinate inclusions, prepare each day’s activities, and support travelers while on tour. As such, they must focus on the success of the group, and can’t provide individualized assistance to any one traveler.
- One of the benefits of traveling with EF Go Ahead Tours is having access to our 24/7 Emergency Support Team.
- Our extensive network of global offices and our integration of ISO 31000 Risk Management Guidelines help this dedicated team anticipate and address on-tour challenges in a flexible, iterative way.
- Using a combination of extensive training, thorough incident response planning, and decades of experience, this team assists travelers and Tour Directors in case of emergencies—stepping in for everything from personal health concerns and injuries to major world events.
- Our On-Tour Support team can also provide additional help to travelers on tour, arranging assistance from outside specialists and liaising with local and international authorities as needed. And if there’s an emergency on the road or at home, the team will facilitate and support communication between travelers and their families.
- England is on Greenwich Mean Time Zone (GMT) and is five hours ahead of Eastern Time (ET).
- All other destinations on this tour are one hour ahead of GMT and six hours ahead of ET.
- When it’s noon in New York, it’s 5pm in England and 6pm in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.
- When you travel with Go Ahead Tours, you’ll make a positive impact on the places you visit and the people and animals you meet along the way. That’s because our three core Responsible Travel commitments—protecting the environment, supporting local communities, and promoting animal welfare—are at the heart of every tour we offer.
- Travel, when done responsibly, can have an enormous socioeconomic impact on communities. To maximize your impact, eat at locally owned restaurants and shop at small businesses. Ask your Tour Director to point out restaurants they recommend.
- Prepare for your trip: Be aware of monetary norms such as tipping and negotiating in a market; learn about the destination’s forms of etiquette; and take some time to learn a few words in the local language.
- When interacting with locals, make sure to ask people for permission before you take their picture, and approach cultural differences with empathy and an open mind.
- Go Ahead Tours encourages travelers to limit their waste while on the road, especially single-use plastics. You can cut back on generating plastic waste by packing your own toiletries, using electronic documents, and bringing a reusable water bottle and shopping bag. If you need to use plastics or paper, please recycle.

More time to Relax and Enjoy
Put aside 11 or more days for your Europe vacation and you can begin to experience a different way of life. The expert advisors at Global Coach Tours will help you decide which is right for you according to your budget, the places you want to see and the time you have available.
Which Way to Go?
Departing from London, your tour may head in one of two different directions. One way around Europe typically takes you to either Brussels or Amsterdam. Followed by Germany Austria and Switzerland, then onwards to Venice, Florence and Rome. You will then head back to London via Paris for one or two nights. Highlights will include Swiss mountain scenery, a Rhine cruise, glassblowing in Venice, perhaps a gondola ride. You'll get to see the ancient ruins in Rome, some of which are remarkably preserved such as the Colosseum. Other famous must see sights are the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Throw 3 coins in and you are sure to return!
See a Different Point of View
In Paris why not head up Tour Montparnasse instead of the Eiffel Tower? This lesser known view point will give you a great panorama that will include the Eiffel Tower in your photos! Relax with a cafe au lait and a croissant at a pavement cafe in the artist quarter of Montmartre or float down the Seine on a sightseeing river boat.

The London Pass | Is it worth it?
Traveling, discovering and exploring new places is one of our favorite things to do. City trips are perhaps our most favorite type of travel. We love to travel to a city for two or three days and fully explore every inch of that city.
Almost every city now offers one or more city passes to explore the city. We recently travelled to London and used the London Pass to explore the city during our stay.
Travelling to London soon and want to know if the London Pass is worth it? Check out our experiences and honest review.
This blog was written by travel writer and Traveltomtom team member Ashley . She received the The London Pass to use during her stay in London and to write this review. Check out her Instagram @travelashie .
What is The London Pass?
The London Pass is a pass that gives you access to a lot of attractions in London. Included in this pass are famous museums, historic sights and buildings, bucket list-worthy activities, boat tours and more. In fact, The London Pass gives you access to 85+ London attractions. You can check out the complete list here .
Available packages
The London Pass is a digital sightseeing credits package that gives you access to these attractions. You get a set number of credits to use for the number of days you choose.
No matter how long you plan to spend in London, there is always a London pass that suits your trip. The London Pass is available from 1 day to a travel duration of up to 10 days and everything in between. We visited London for an extended weekend and had a 2 day London Pass. These 48 hours start as soon as you scan your Pass at the first attraction.
Advantages and disadvantages
Like any other city pass, The London Pass also comes with a lot of advantages, but certainly also disadvantages. We list them for you!
Time saver : With the London Pass you will definitely save time. No hassle with having to buy individual tickets. Just walk up to the attraction, have your pass scanned, enter and enjoy!
Money saver : The London Pass is most certainly a money saver. Visiting attractions with the London Pass is often cheaper than individual entrance tickets. It leaves you more money for food, shopping or souvenirs.
Flexibility : It's up to you to choose which attractions you visit and in what order. You have no tickets with a set date or time to visit a certain attraction. Also, the London Pass is valid for two years from purchase date. So should your travel plans change last minute, no worries, you can always use them later on.
Free cancelation : Should your plans change after all, they offer free cancelation with 90 days from purchase date.
App : They have a very useful app with a lot of information about participating attractions. You can easily add your London Pass to the app and have it scanned from there. It shows opening times of the attractions but also the requirements for getting in. The app has a very helpful trip planning section that very easily lets you plan your itinerary.
We actually really enjoyed our trip to London using this London Pass. It made us visit attractions we had never visited before, the Tower of London with the Crown Jewels for example or a Chelsea Stadium Tour of Stamford Bridge. Simply because they were included with the pass we decided to visit them after quite a few visits to London.
With the London Pass we also did special attractions that we would certainly not have done otherwise, The Dare Skywalk at the Tottenham Stadium for example.
So for us there were no disadvantages, but I can imagine that some of the disadvantages listed below could be a deal breaker for you.
Disadvantages
Big crowds : The popular attractions can become very busy, especially during the busier seasons. Be prepared to cue if you want to visit a specific popular attraction.
Not all attractions : Even though most of the highlights and attractions of London are included in the Pass, not all of them are. So you might find the Pass less useful because you want to visit attractions which are not included.
Cost : Always weigh the cost of the pass carefully against the individual entrance fees to attractions. The pass can be expensive, especially if you're only there for a short trip and haven't got a lot of time to do a lot of attractions.
Is The London Pass suitable for everyone?
We are fast travelers, we always want to see as much as possible in the often short time we are somewhere. We love being able to completely traverse a city like London in 2-3 days. We get up early and stay out until very late, to fully take advantage of the hours of the day.
For us the London Pass turned out to be the most perfect travel companion during our trip to London. Who is the London Pass most suitable for?
Tourists with little time : If you want to see a lot in the a short amount of time, the London Pass truly is ideal for you! You can easily walk up to attractions, scan your pass and explore. If you take full advantage of the hours in a day you could end up visiting a lot of attractions.
Museum lovers : A lot of museums are included with the London Pass. So you can go wild on the London museums without having to think about the costs.
Flexible travelers : We like to travel without a (tight) schedule. If you're just like us and plan to see a lot and don't want to be tied to a schedule, get the London Pass!
Of course the London Pass isn't suitable for everyone. When is the London Pass too much or not necessary?
Free attractions or highlights : London is full of impressive highlights and buildings. A lot of people travel to London to simply only want to see those famous landmarks. So, if you're mainly want to visit free attractions or admire the famous London landmarks, I would advise not to take the London Pass. You won't get your money's worth.
Limited budget : If you're travelling on a limited budget, carefully weigh the costs of the London Pass against individual tickets. Especially if you're interested in visiting just a small amount of attractions, individual tickets can be cheaper.
Limited time : If you're time in London is limited it's probably best to focus on just a few top attractions.
When taking fully advantage of it the London Pass is definitely worth it.
When traveling to London don't let high roaming costs ruin your trip. Get yourself a prepaid sim card for the UK . Check out where to buy a sim card a London Heathrow , Gatwick , Luton or Stansted . You are all into eSIMs? No problem Traveltomtom wrote a complete UK eSIM guide .

Tips when using The London Pass
After using the London Pass ourselves recently we do have a few travel tips we'd like to share to make the London Pass even more useful for your next trip. Here are Traveltomtom's three main tips.
Compare prices : Always compare ticket prices and look at individual ticket prices. Look carefully at the different options, compare prices and do the math's if the London Pass is really worth it for your London visit.
Plan : Plan your route and attractions in advance to get the absolute most out of your London Pass. You can easily loose a lot of time if you only think about your next attraction when you walk out of the previous one. Time is money, it would simply be a waste of money and time. So try to plan ahead a bit.
Be flexible : We mentioned it before, it can get busy at popular attractions, especially during the busy seasons. Be prepared for these crowds and in the worst case adjust your plans on the spot.
Traveltomtom's final thoughts on The London Pass
Recently we visited London for the 7th time. We love London. For us it's just a 50 minute flight and such an easy city to visit. We never get bored traveling to London.
Even though it wasn't our first visit to London, this visit was full of 'first's'. It might sound strange, but we had never visited the Tower of London before. Obviously we had seen it from the outside, but never took the time to properly visit this icon of London.
Having the Tower of London included in the London Pass it was a no-brainer for us. The Tower of London was our very first stop. Now in retrospect we wonder why we didn't visit this before. The Crown Jewels are very impressive and an absolute must see for everyone!
From the Tower of London it's very easy to add the Tower Bridge as well. We had done the Tower Bridge before but that was on our first ever visit to London back in 2012.
So we thought it was about time to do it again. It surely was not disappointing on such a beautiful sunny day in London the views from the Tower Bridge were fantastic.
And with the London Pass it is just super easy. Just walk up to the entrance, have your ticket scanned and enjoy!
One we had on our bucket list for a while, and certainly wasn't there on our previous visits to London is the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Lucky us that the stadium tour of the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is included in the London Pass.
Better yet, the amazing Dare Skywalk at the stadium is included with the London Pass as well. A thrilling new experience in London. I had never walked the roof of a football stadium before, until now.
If you decide to get the London Pass for your next visit, I highly recommend adding the Dare Skywalk to your plans. You absolutely won't regret.
Of course there is so much more to do with the London Pass. If you want to do it all you need a month in London. Just to name a few of the amazing attractions included, London Eye , Westminster Abbey, the Shard, St. Paul's Cathedral, the London football stadiums, Up at the O2 and over a 100 more attractions and experiences.
The London Pass can be a great addition to your trip to London, but it's not for everyone. Consider your travel plans carefully before making a decision.
Enjoy your trip to London!
