A short lifestyle piece about ExOfficio and the people who love their brand.

 Questions & Tips

Faq & tips.

The company is named after a Latin expression meaning by virtue of office held, an elite member.

We recommend using a washing machine without an agitator. Wash and dry like items only, do not dry with towels or heavy clothing. Wash with low heat on delicate cycle with a detergent that is free and clear of dyes and perfumes. Hang dry or tumble dry on low.

If traveling, wash with soap in a sink or bathtub and wring it out. Lay underwear flat on a dry towel, roll the towel up and squeeze to absorb the water. Hang underwear to dry in a well-ventilated area.

ExOfficio understands the power we have to influence working conditions of the people who make our products. Since they are literally made all over the world, we carefully monitor the environment in which these people work.

We only put work in factories that we have visited in person. We seek out factories that have a reputation for fairness and community building. We look for long-term relationships and not one-season deals. We discuss our codes of conduct with the factory leaders and require that they be signed before we will place production.

We continually visit our factories to be sure that economic, social, and political changes have not altered their agreement to abide by the code. We contract the factories through agents who are familiar with the host culture and laws. They are responsible for monitoring factory compliance with our codes in our absence.

Excerpt from ExOfficio Code of Conduct:

(Child Labor)—The use of child labor is not permissible. ExOfficio will not utilize partners who use child labor in any of their facilities. ExOfficio-selected factories maintain official documentation for every worker that verifies the worker's date of birth.

(Forced Labor)—Factories will not utilize any form of forced labor—prison, indentured, involuntary, bonded, or otherwise—in contracting relationships in the manufacturing and finishing of ExOfficio products.

Exofficio underwear: are they worth it.

Travel underwear ?

ExOfficio produces some very sturdy and specialized travel clothing , one such popular item being the travel underwear.

Yes, you read that right. There is, in fact, a market for travel underwear, especially for people who want to travel light and have the best quality underwear in their backpacks.

However, it seems that many travelers are turned off by these items because of the price. The female versions of ExOfficio underwear can run anywhere from $18 to $26 each, and that’s not cheap. The real issue at hand is deciding whether or not this price is worth it. Let’s discuss!

  • Check out our full travel underwear guide .

What Makes ExOfficio Underwear So Special

In other words… Why the price?

Now $26 may seem steep for a single pair of underwear but these aren’t just any normal panties, ExOfficio claims to have spent over 20 years perfecting the perfect pair of travel underwear.

Their original designs were made to be more durable, quicker drying, moisture-wicking, and also less smelly in general over your everyday underwear – so that you could travel longer and more comfortably with fewer pairs.

While the price tag may seem steep, when you factor in the number of wears along with the additional benefits to your trip, they’re definitely a wise investment.

But they didn’t stop there…

That’s where their new and improved Give-N-Go® 2.0 Collection comes in.

Their new 2.0 collection is up to 4 times more breathable , 50% more moisture wicking , and 25% more quick drying compared to their original Give-N-Go® collections. The durable fabric is perfect for long-lasting use and the 4-way stretch gives you total range of motion.

The breathable mesh fabric supplies airflow to keep you cool and the improved anti-odor treatment ensures you stay fresher (and unsmelly) for longer (perfect for a day spent exploring a tropical climate). The flatlock seams reduce chafing and the wide, comfortable waistband retains its shape.

Their sport mesh versions have a snug active fit and lower rise that are ideal for high-energy activities

How Many Pairs of ExOfficio Underwear Do You Need

All these new and improved features mean that you should be able to travel with less underwear!

If you’ve been around the site, you know we love to minimize our packing lists here at HPL. And, if you’re also one of those people who is looking to make your backpack lighter by any means possible (like cutting the end off your toothbrush) or you’re someone who just wants to keep things simple with less baggage, then these might be great for you.

How light and simple you can travel with these underwear is another question, though.

The original tagline for these underwear (I believe) said something like:

“17 countries. 6 weeks. One pair of underwear.”

I never really understood this tagline since I couldn’t get my head around what you are supposed to do when you’re actually washing them.

No, one pair just didn’t seem like enough, no matter how quick-drying they are, which is why I was happy to see the addition of this line to the website:

“Okay, maybe two.”

Well, that’s better… but is that really all you need? This all depends on your travel style and personal preference.

If you don’t feel comfortable traveling with only two pairs of underwear, pack more. It’s good to have one pair on, one pair drying from a wash and one pair (at least) in case of emergency.

Brooke’s Original ExOfficio Underwear Review

Note: This is an older review of the original Give-N-Go® collection. I do not have the 2.0 collection… yet. New review coming soon!

When I was a newbie backpacker, I couldn’t let myself wonder any longer about ExOfficio travel underwear. I was curious, so when I found some online at sale prices, I bought four (two really didn’t sound like enough). Two and a half years later, at the time of this review, they were still kickin’.

In short : Yes, they’re worth it.

In depth : They have some faults, but not enough to concern the traveler that is after function over style.

  • Durability. After 2.5 years, of casual use (both travel and daily life), they were still in great condition.
  • Texture. The meshy texture helps you build up a lather when hand-washing clothes in hostel sinks.
  • Comfort. The bikini briefs give full coverage and are great for exercise, walking, hiking, and other activities where wedgies are a problem.
  • Style. They lack style, and may even resemble granny panties.
  • Thickness. The string bikini versions have a very thick trim. You can often see the lines under your clothes, which is annoying.

They have updated the look to be a little bit cuter these days but they’re still primarily functional-looking underwear. The trim has also been altered.

The Maybes:

  • Drying. Sometimes, they dried quickly while other times they seemed to take a bit longer. This obviously depends on the climate and the airflow where they are hung. Would I say that you could definitely wash them in the evening and 100% expect them to be dry by morning? No, don’t expect it.
  • Liners. The material isn’t the best for sticking panty liners and pads to. Sometimes they stay put, and others they get a little off-guard. Anyone else have experience?

Don’t Believe Me? Here’s Another Review

Taking Care of Your ExOfficio Underwear

The ExOfficio underwear range has been designed especially with travelers in mind. This means that they’ve taken into account that you’re going to be washing and re-wearing them on the road.

On their website, they break the washing process down into 4 easy steps – wash, wring, roll, and hang.

Wash your underwear with soap (they claim this is optional) and rinse.

Wring out as much of the excess water as possible.

Lay them on a dry towel, roll them up, and squeeze to get them as dry as possible.

And finally, hang them up in a well-ventilated area to dry completely.

Following this method, your underwear should be dry overnight.

The ExOfficio Range

ExOfficio’s main aim is to make the best travel underwear possible.

ExOfficio Underwear

ExOfficio travel underwear bikini and brief

They have 4 different types of underwear available – bikinis, briefs, hipkinis, and thongs . They are available in a range of solid colors like black, buff, jadeite, papyrus, and retro red to name a few.

There are also a few patterns. Some pairs are available in a sports mesh type fabric.

ExOfficio travel underwear thong and hipster

You can shop the whole range on Amazon or the ExOfficio website .

ExOfficio Bralettes

Exofficio has two bralettes available – the Women’s Everyday Bralette (retailing at $40) and the Women’s Give-N-Go® 2.0 Bralette (retailing at $26).

ExOfficio Women's Everyday Bralette and the Women's Give-N-Go® 2.0 Bralette

The Women’s Everyday Bralette is made from a viscose blend lightweight knit jersey fabric for breathable comfort and it’s bio-based anti-odor treatment keeps you fresher for longer. It features adjustable straps for maximum comfort and a custom fit. The flatlock seams reduce chafing.

This bra will probably remind you of your normal bras just with a few added extras. Making it great for everyday use . The versatile low cut means you can wear it with lots of different styles of neckline.

The Women’s Give-N-Go® 2.0 Bralette is made from a breathable and durable mesh fabric that allows for airflow to keep you cool. The improved anti-odor treatment ensures it stays fresher for longer. The flatlock seams reduce chafing and it provides low support for A-C cups. Just like the Everyday Bralette, the low cut of the Give-N-Go® 2.0 Bralette means it can be worn with a variety of different necklines.

This is a great option for backpacking and hiking .

ExOfficio Underwear FAQs

All of your ExOfficio underwear questions answered in one place.

How do you wash ExOfficio underwear?

Use the 4 easy steps method that ExOfficio recommends – wash, wring, roll, and hang. Wash and rinse, wring out as much water as possible, lay them on a dry towel, roll up, and squeeze, and finally, hang up in a well-ventilated area to dry.

How long does it take for ExOfficio underwear to dry?

If you follow the ExOfficio washing method, your underwear should be dry overnight.

Why is ExOfficio underwear so expensive?

ExOfficio underwear is so expensive because their pieces are designed to last much longer and be worn a lot more than ordinary underwear. Think of it as an investment . Sure they may be more money up front, but you will have to replace them less.

What is ExOfficio underwear made of?

ExOfficio underwear is made out of a combination of nylon and elastane. This durable fabric is breathable, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying. They go through an anti-odor treatment to ensure they stay fresher for longer.

How many pairs of ExOfficio underwear should I pack for a trip?

While ExOfficio claims you only need two pairs no matter how long your trip is, this all depends on your travel style and personal preference. If you don’t feel comfortable traveling with only two pairs of underwear, pack more. It’s good to have one pair on, one pair drying from a wash and one pair (at least) in case of emergency.

What are some good ExOfficio underwear alternatives?

While ExOfficio no doubt makes an amazing pair of underwear perfect for travel, there are other options on the market (some at a cheaper price point). When shopping for travel underwear, look out for pairs that have similar features as ExOfficio – breathable, moisture-wicking, odor-resistant, quick-drying, and durable.

ExOfficio underwear is made mostly from nylon so keep an eye out for this material when shopping for travel underwear.

Most of your favorite travel or sports brands, like Patagonia, Under Armour, and Ridge Merino, will make underwear very similar and perfect for traveling.

  • Check out this post on fast-drying travel underwear for options.

Well, if you’ve made it this far, you’re probably thinking about making a purchase. You can always try out a pair and then buy more if you think they will work with your travel style .

Optimally, I would shoot for a minimum of 3 pairs, but 4 is better as it gives you more time to wash in between wears.

Exofficio Travel Underwear - Are they worth it?

I run the show at Her Packing List and love packing ultralight. In fact, I once traveled for 3 entire weeks with just the contents of a well-packed 12L handbag . When I'm not obsessing over luggage weight, I'm planning adventures or just snuggling with my pet rabbit, Sherlock Bunz.

Great post! I am in the process of purchasing clothes/gear for a 2 year backpacking trip to start in the fall and had read about this underwear but wasn’t sure if it was worth getting. Pretty sure you’ve convinced me!

December 1, 2012 at 5:53 am

Hey Brooke! I’ve been back and forth on getting these and your review def helps (i heard they were really uncomfy and i worry about “woman issues” happening from not using cotton)… I really don’t think i’d mind bringing a cpl more pairs of cotton underwear, to save money and not worry about buying the right size/returning online, etc.. but my main question/concern was what about sweating and humidity?? I’ll be in SE Asia for 3 months in jan and i heard it’s going to be SO hot. Obv the travel panties will help with that BUT if i choose cotton instead, will i be dying of sweat and way uncomfy during the hot days?

This is also my first backpacking trip- my first trip abroad anywhere. What do you recommend? Thanks!

December 1, 2012 at 5:43 pm

Hi Gina! What about getting a trial pair and see how you like them. Take them to work out and see how they fare in hotter conditions? They are wicking and quick drying so they should help keep you drier in humid conditions. The X-O are super durable and will last you through washing, hand washing, etc. repeatedly. If you’re nervous, why not do a couple X-O and the rest cotton. Every body is different, but I’ve gotten rave reviews from the women who won the free pair in my giveaway a while back. The give-n-go lacy are definitely more comfortable than the original. I definitely recommend getting 1 pair and trying it out for a couple wears, and working out, and then ordering really quick more if you love them. But, brining 2 pairs of cotton will never hurt — you can ditch them if you decide on the road 🙂

January 12, 2013 at 3:27 am

So I’ve been backpacking around South America with 2 pairs of exofficio undies for the last 8 months and I could not recommend them enough. I got the black “boy shorts” style. (I think that’s what they’re called). They actually look cute ish and are very comfortable, especially doing anything active where sweaty underwear can be really uncomfortabel. I found the trick to making sure they dry quickly is after washing them in the sink or shower I make sure I rub them in my towel to begin the drying process and I have never woken up to find them still wet. In the sun you might wait 30 mins max. They really are my favourite thing I packed. Some friends have travelled a bit in between the last 8 months and they always ask me what I’m glad I packed and what I wish I had left behind etc. I always tell them to get a couple pairs of exofficios. Although I feel completely confident I could continue to travel with just the two pairs, I do travel with a couple extra cotton undies just to change things up a bit. It’s nice to wear something different sometimes, but really and truly I know I could go with just the two pairs. They are that good. So if you’re still ummming and ahhing about whether to spend the money on them, just do it! You will not be disappointed if you’re backpacking etc and need to pack light.

January 12, 2013 at 3:33 am

Ps. Meant to also mention I have had the same trouble with panty liners not sticking to the fabric well. They don’t stick as well as I would like but that’s honestly the only minor complaint I have. And it’s so minor, it doesn’t bother me and I use panty liners daily.

August 22, 2013 at 5:29 pm

I have two pair of the briefs and two of the newer, lacy, sexier ones, and I LOVE them! I use them for travel, but also working out at home and hiking. They are the best backpacking underwears ever.

If you are looking for something even cuter, Patagonia’s Active Hipster briefs come in colors, including super cute stripes. I don’t love them functionally as much as Ex Officio, but they are super cute. So, you could take one pair of Ex Officio briefs for comfort/hiking, one pair of the lacy ones for looking cuter, and one pair of the Patagonias to change it up 🙂

Another thing I like about the Ex Officio full briefs is that they double as a full coverage bikini bottom. I take a bathing suit when traveling, but when wilderness backpacking (trekking, for the Europeans) I don’t like to carry extra clothes – just one pair of undies to wear on the trail, another for in camp while the other pair is drying.

December 21, 2018 at 9:09 pm

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I bought 3 pairs in 2012, travelled Europe for 9 months and they were great. Finally threw them out in mid 2018, as they were a bit shapeless and I noticed they weren’t as good with the odour control anymore. So expensive to purchase at the outset, but I have never had the length of service that I have had out of these 3 pairs of underwear. Am about to buy some more.

October 12, 2023 at 10:30 pm

I have 4-5 pairs of Ex Officio. I used to buy whenever they went on sale. But more recently I tried Fruit of the Loom Breathable Panties and honestly they are nearly as good and the price is $17 for a six-pack. I like being able to have so many for such a low price. I can pack enough I don’t need to wash very often since they pack down so small.

October 15, 2023 at 5:00 pm

You are the 2nd person in the past month who have told me about these underwear! I must try.

February 17, 2024 at 8:33 pm

Totally agree. I have purchased Ex Officio undies for years, but tried the Fruit of the Loom Breathable panties at Target on a whim. While I love Ex Officio,, I like the fit of the FOTL ones better. So far, they have held up well. I took 4 pair on a 3-month trip and no issues at all. The only issue I’ve found with FOTL is that they come in a package of 6 and the colors are not always what I would have chosen.

What to Wear in Russia

Top style tips for russia.

  • Russia is fairly conservative, and if you choose to wear bright colors – particularly in the winter months – you will stand out.
  • Jeans are always popular here and, teamed with lighter layers for the summer and warmer ones for the winter, will serve as a versatile base to your wardrobe.
  • Add in a smarter outfit for more formal occasions , such as the ballet or opera. Whilst it's not compulsory, the locals do dress up for these events and you'll feel more comfortable if you do the same.
  • The attitude towards wearing fur is very different in Russia compared to Western Europe. Fur is very common and relatively cheap, and you will see a lot of people wearing it.
  • If you are looking for a highly versatile travel jacket to bring along we recommend the  SCOTTeVEST  range. Their range of jackets have been specifically designed with traveling in mind and include RFID security (to protect your passport information), 23 secure pockets and personal connectivity integration.

Shoes to pack for Russia

  • If you're intending to see as many sites as possible during your trip (and there are a lot to see) you'll be doing a good deal of walking – so be sure to pack some comfortable walking shoes . We love Hotter shoes , for total comfort along with style.

Pack for the weather

  • November, December, January, February and March are freezing so be ready to dress warmly. Our advice would be to pack warm layers.
  • For extra warmth pack some long thermal underwear – you'll be grateful you did.
  • light wool is a good choice to wear against your skin as it naturally helps to regulate your body temperature . It keeps you warm in the cold, wicks away moisture when it's hot, and doesn't retain odours – even after prolonged wear.
  • Muscovites wear a lot of fur in the winter – for a reason. Whether your preference is for fake or the real thing, you are well advised to have a very thick warm coat, gloves and scarf. A hat and/or ear muffs are also a very good idea. A furry lining or trim will keep you even cosier.
  • Wear really good boots with soft rubber soles . It's important that you get soft rubber soles because even medium soles get really hard in the freezing cold. Make sure too that they have large spaces between the tracks, or the snow will get stuck in them and make them very slippery.
  • Dressing in layers will help you with the temperature changes during the day, whatever time of year you visit.
  • Be sure to pack your swimwear if you want to join in the winter time ritual bathing in hot and cold pools, steam rooms and saunas.
  • We love the Weather+ app – it gives an accurate 6 day forecast for day and night, which when you're planning from home is really helpful. You can keep all the places you've been to too – a nice way to remember your trip 🙂

Clothing tips for women

  • Moscow and St Petersburg are very much like any other cosmopolitan city ; women love to dress up and are rarely seen without make-up and high heels.
  • But, with all the sightseeing to do, we suggest you save your high heels for the evenings.
  • A few well chosen pieces of costume jewelry will transform any outfit.
  • And a pashmina is a versatile piece too that will dress up any outfit – try it with a simple smart dress.
  • If you are planning to visit an Orthodox Church be sure to cover your head with a scarf, and cover up bare arms and legs – your pashmina or wrap can come in handy for this too.
  • If you are in Russia on business, pack a conservative skirt-suit with tights or stockings and smart shoes.

Clothing tips for men

  • If you are in Russia on business men are expected to wear a dark, well tailored suit and tie, with smart shoes.

Regions of Russia

  • No trip would be complete without sight of Moscow's palatial metro (underground) dripping with chandeliers.
  • For travel on the Trans-Siberian railway you'll need to dress in layers. The train itself is very warm inside, but for the frequent half-hour stops you'll need to put on boots, warm coat, hat and gloves as it can be freezing outside. There are power outlets for charging your phone etc, but don't leave it unattended and you'll need an adaptor. Take soft drinks with you – it will be much cheaper than buying them on board, and snacks will be useful especially in the winter when there are fewer sellers on the platforms.

Other things to pack

  • You'll need a visa for Russia, and arrange it well in advance to avoid paying a premium at the last minute. Remember too that you must carry your passport with you at all times.
  • If you don't buy Russian Rubles before you go, take US dollars or Euros as they are far easier to change once in the country.
  • To use electrical gadgets you may need a travel adapter plug , and also a step down voltage converter if your devices are not designed for Russian voltage (220V) .
  • A lightweight day sack or shoulder bag will come in handy to carry your sightseeing essentials.
  • If you tend to buy bottled water , consider carrying a LifeStraw Filtration Water Bottle – fill up from any source and get clean, safe drinking water without wasting plastic bottles.
  • Avoid paying unexpected baggage fees – use an accurate luggage scale to ensure you keep within the weight allowance. Don't forget to leave room for souvenirs on the way home! The ‘ Mastryoshka ‘ nesting dolls are famous of course, but look out too for amber jewelry and beautiful lacquer boxes . If you want to stock up on vodka , remember you will need to pack it in checked-in luggage unless you buy at the airport duty-free.
  • And a final tip – note that it's considered bad luck to whistle indoors !

Russia: One Week Itinerary

Russia , the largest country in the world has been on my bucketlist for the longest time. This is where the first ‘women only’ tour of Ticking the Bucketlist is headed. We are off tomorrow and would be spending one week in this enchanting land!

Here is what our ‘one week in Russia’ itinerary looks like….

Day 1: Moscow – Izmailovsky Flea Market and ‘Moscow by Night’

We start our trip from Delhi on an Aeroflot flight and reach Moscow at about 0835 in the morning. We head straight to our hotel to stretch our legs and get some shut-eye. We need to charge our batteries for the Russian sojourn. We are staying in the Best Western Vega at the Izmailovsky area, which is very famous for its local flea market. The  Izmailovsky Market is the best place in Moscow for souvenir shopping …dolls, porcelain, jewelry boxes…we will buy them all from here.

Day 2: Moscow – Moscow City Tour and Kremlin Tour

A red building at the Red Square of the Kremlin

Having seen the city’s light the previous night, it is time to see the city’s colours this morning. We will set off on the Moscow City Tour shows us the highlights of city, starting with the Red Square. This is our day to click a 1000 pictures in front of all the monuments that represent Moscow…St Basil’s Cathedral, the Bolshoi theatre, the Olympic Stadium and the Sparrow Hills.

Exploring the Kremlin

Today is also the day to visit and learn more about the most famous monument in Russia. Kremlin, literally means a fort inside a city. Dynasties built on the site, one century after another and the site came to known as the Kremlin in the 14the century. The walled structure of the Kremlin includes palaces and cathedrals… and a historical past!

Later in the evening, we will enjoy the Russian circus that many of us have seen to television ever so often. Acrobats, clowns and animals….its is time to let the little girl in you come out and clap her hands!

Day 3: Moscow – Metro Stations and Arbat Street followed by the Bolshoi Ballet

Mosaics on the walls of the metro station

Today, we set out to explore the metro stations of Moscow, each of which is a stellar work of art. Stunning frescos and chandeliers in marble surroundings… it’s a work of art! We will then walk along the Arbat street, which is the city’s only pedestrian street, lined with shops and cafes.

As the night unfolds, I intend to don a classy dress and get set to watch one of the finest shows on earth at the Bolshoi Theatre. I have always been awestruck by the art form and would love to see some of the best performers in the world move gracefully. A performance that is rated as one of the best in the world has to be ticked off my bucketlist!

Day 4: Moscow – Day Tour to Sergiev Posad followed by a crazy bar hopping night!

Sergiev Posad is one the strongest spiritual centres in Russia. Home to stunning churches, Sergiev Posad will give us a flavour of the famous ‘Golden Ring’ of Russia. The tour will take 5-7 hours and we will be back at the hotel in second half.

Exploring Sergiev Posad

This will be our last night in Moscow, and we are not going to leave the city without sampling some fine Russian vodka. So, this night is dedicated to bar hopping and pub crawling. Hope to meet some travellers and make new friends.

Day 5: Saint Petersburg – Sapsan train experience to Saint Petersburg and Matryoshka Doll painting class

Saint Petersburg , our next destination, is at least 700 km away from Moscow… and we will zip zap zoom on the Sapsan (the high speed train) to get there in about four hours! The high speed trains are engineering marvels, worth experiencing and we ride this iron horse in the afternoon, reaching St Peterburg in the evening.

As a group, we also join a masterclass to paint our own nested Matryoshka dolls… our own little souvenir to carry and remind us of a fun week in Russia.

With our very own Matryoshka dolls!

Day 6: Saint Petersburg – City Tour and Peterhof Palace

The day starts with a city tour of Saint Petersburg that will give us a peek into what this city has… many bridges, stunning castles, colourful cathedrals and fortresses.

Post lunch, we will head to the Peterhof Palace, also called the Russian Versailles. With spring having set in, the gardens would be green and the fountains will put up a show…I am excited!

Peterhof Palace

Day 7: Saint Petersburg – Hermitage Museum and Shopping

The highlights tour on the previous day will surely make us want to see more of Saint Petersburg…and we will do so by visiting the Hermitage Museum, which is also called the ‘Louvre of Russia’. The Hermitage complex itself is of architectural delight … and the collections have stories to speak which will hopefully, spike our interest enough to make to go back read our history textbooks.

The Hermitage Museum

The rest of the day is totally free to visit any of the other monuments or simply shop … it’s every girl’s favourite sport, isn’t it?

Our last night Russia… Oh Russia!!!! Tonight we will explore the party scene in SPB … or maybe … pack for the next day?

Day 8: Saint Petersburg …Bye Bye Russia

Memories, souvenirs and new friendships… it’s time take them all back to India! We check out of our hotel and take the flight from SPB to Delhi, via Moscow.

Farewell Russia!

Your photos are beautiful! I have always wanted to visit Russia, especially after seeing Anastasia (the Disney movie) 🙂 I can’t believe those mosaics are on the walls at the METRO STATION! How unreal. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

Wow that is quite an awesome itinerary. I mean… huge Russia in 1 week. I am still dreaming of St. Petersbourg. So many people told me that it is gorgeous. And I would die to see the Ballet

You know I have never considered Russia but this itinerary looks amazing. St. Petersburg looks beautiful. I will certainly consider a trip there now

I’ve only been to St Petersburg so far, and did a few tours in the city and around. But I have a good friend in Moscow, so the incentive is definitely there to go back. I enjoy doing those by night experiences and see how cities transform in different times of day – especially if it’s topped with a circus visit, amazing 🙂

We are thinking of heading to Russia next Summer so will deffo use this itinerary, looks amazing! Would love to visit the Kremlin in Moscow! Thanks for sharing!

I have always been fascinated by Russia. I like the colourful rounds domes on the Palaces just like an Aladin’s Palace. FIFA Football World will be held in Russia next year and I will try my best to visit this beautiful country and will follow your itinerary and contact you. 🙂

Moscow and Kremlin city tour looks amazing. Your one week itinerary is helpful and complete tour of Russian delights. St.Petersburg city tour is also enchanting and splendid. I really want to have Russian vacation now after seeing your pictures

Wow, this is awesome. Well weaved itinerary! We had always dreamed of taking pictures of those onion-domed palaces and those colors on the palaces are just mind blowing. We didn’t know that there is a Versailles in Russia the exterior paint and the colors look much similar. We had loved it in France and would love to visit it in Russia too.

The Peterhof Palace is a delight to visit. Highly recommend it if you are in SPB

I haven’t visited Russia, but it’s definitely on the list! This a great itinerary, I love how you included things to do but also gave some leeway to do things on your own as well (like shopping haha). Beautiful pictures, the buildings and Russian dolls are stunning! I wonder if they’re all hand painted.

The dolls are all hand painted. The cost increases depending on the quality of work and the artist.
