The show’s fifth and final special recently wrapped in Zimbabwe. It is set to launch next year.

Clarkson, whose farming show “Clarkson’s Farm” will continue at Prime Video, has said he decided to take a step back from the automotive series because it is “immensely physical” and he feels “unfit and fat and old.”

“I’ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else,” Clarkson told The Times. “We’ve done everything you can do with a car. When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air.”

Clarkson, who was widely criticized for a column about Meghan Markle, will next be seen hosting a new series of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?,” which premieres Jan. 28 on ITV1.

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown: release date, trailer and new episodes explained

What we know about the show's Scotland and Russia specials

The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour season 4, episode 3 is coming on July 30, Amazon has confirmed – and it'll take co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May to Scotland in a special called Lochdown. The episode was actually filmed in 2020, mid-pandemic, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see it. The special will imitate the feeling of an American road trip – without actually requiring the British hosts to leave their country.

There's a first trailer for The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown, too, which you can see below.

There's more good news if you're a fan of The Grand Tour Presents: a new episode has been filming this year in Wales and parts of England like Warwickshire. This dovetails with what James May said in an interview last year about filming more episodes closer to home in an effort to release them more regularly. Given how languid the releases have become lately – a year separated the release of the last two specials, Seamen and A Massive Hunt – that will come as a relief.

Below, we'll tell you everything we know about the future of The Grand Tour Presents on Amazon Prime – including details about the Scotland-based Lochdown special, what we know about the new UK episode as it films, and what happened to the lost Russia special that was originally set to follow A Massive Hunt.

  • Best Netflix shows

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown release date is July 30, 2021

The next special in The Grand Tour Presents series is called Lochdown – and it just got a release date of July 30 on Amazon Prime Video. Check out the trailer in the section below for confirmation.

That's not all that's coming from Clarkson and pals in the foreseeable future, though.

As of April 2021, another special for The Grand Tour was filming in the UK – the three hosts were spotted filming in Llandrindod Wells, Wales, by The Grand Tour Fans YouTube channel . They were each driving classic French cars, which hints a little at the theme for the episode. Jeremy Clarkson was apparently spotted driving a Citroën CX Break, James May was glimpsed in a Renault Avantime, while Richard Hammond was reportedly in a Matra Murena, according to the channel. Later, the hosts were spot in Leamington in England, filming near a retail park.

That episode seems like it's probably a while away, though. Let's go through what we know about the Lochdown special's filming, first. A first teaser for that episode was released on social media earlier this year – Clarkson describes the special as The Grand Tour 'unplugged'.

Earlier plans to record an episode in Russia were put on-hold because of the pandemic (see below) – so the Lochdown special was filmed in Scotland across nine days earlier in 2020 instead.

"We did it in area of Scotland with not many people," co-host James May told BT . "We didn’t interact with the locals really. There were complicated systems set up for cleaning everything and it was a bit tiresome going through lots of procedures and being tested every day, but it didn’t get in the way of filming to be honest."

The hosts couldn't go to the pub after filming the episode, which must've been a challenge.

While it might be a long wait until the trio and their crew can head to more exotic locations, the intent is to keep making episodes in locations where it's easier to pull off – hence why a Wales-filmed special probably makes sense. "In the short term we might have to reduce our travel ambitions and we’ll have a better chance of doing it," May says. "Better to film in the UK and deliver regularly than promise the earth and not deliver anything. The Grand Tour may become a little more domestic. But it will still be us three which is the important thing. And cars."

That bodes well for the future – and who knows, maybe we'll start seeing episodes of The Grand Tour season 4 land more regularly than once every year again.

Och aye the new trailer for The Grand Tour Presents... #Lochdown is here pic.twitter.com/0eobci0wpL July 15, 2021

Check out the trailer for The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown above, which was released in July 2021.

To film the upcoming Scotland special during the pandemic, the crew formed a bubble, and no one caught Covid-19 during the shoot. It was reported that the hosts were seen driving classic American cars from Edinburgh to the Hebrides – which suggests some kind of Route 66-style road trip element.

Clarkson was seen driving a blue Lincoln, May was seen driving a red Cadillac, and Hammond was seen in a green Buick. The trio also took part in a drag race on a runway somewhere in south Scotland, for which the cars mentioned were apparently modified, and were seen towing caravans at one point too.

May says that being a bit closer to the home for the hosts doesn't matter that much – after all, viewers on Amazon Prime Video could be watching it from anywhere. "If you're watching The Grand Tour from Sri Lanka, Scotland is as exotic and beautiful as Sri Lanka is from Scotland, so there's always going to be a large part of the audience which finds anywhere in the world fascinating."

And hey, anything that gets the hosts to film new episodes faster seems like a good thing.

The Grand Tour season 4 Russia special: what we know

Yes, the next Special will land later this year.Yes, it’s filmed in Madagascar and yes, there will be cars.Yes, we wanted to go to Russia. No, we couldn’t (we all know why).Yes, we will try again. No, we don’t know when.Yes, we will keep you updated.#TheGrandTour July 7, 2020

The next planned episode for The Grand Tour Presents was meant to take the hosts to Russia – and this is still the idea, one day. It's just been postponed for now due to the pandemic. James May says that lots of preparation has been made for this special, but that it's "just impossible right now". Hopefully, with the incoming wave of vaccines, that might be able to change in future – but it seems unlikely you'll see a Russia special of The Grand Tour at any point in the next year or so.

After the next UK special, though, Clarkson did confirm the plan was to film abroad – they're just not sure where yet.

Lo Lieh's 10 Best Kung Fu Movies, Ranked

10 martial arts movies that inspired kill bill, every nicolas cage action movie, ranked.

After Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May moved on from Top Gear , everyone wondered what their next adventure would take them. Happily,  The Grand Tour was soon announced by Amazon and was very similar to Top Gear in many ways. The main difference was the size of the budget given to the trio to spend per episode.

RELATED: The 5 Best (& 5 Worst) Action Movies For Car Chases

Thanks to this large amount of money, Clarkson, Hammond, and May were able to produce more exciting and bigger scale episodes than they had ever done before. This resulted in special episodes becoming more and more frequent. Indeed, the fourth season of The Grand Tour will consist only of specials. To celebrate this, we've ranked all of the specials so far.

Operation Desert Stumble (Season 1, Episode 2)

In Season 1, viewers were still trying to adjust to the show's format. The first episode put their fears at ease (mostly) but the second episode had the unenviable task of introducing the traditional 'challenges' in a new light. Although it's not technically a special, "Operation Desert Stumble" was the show's first attempt at showing Clarkson, Hammond, and May outside of the tent being totally stupid.

Unfortunately, while a bit entertaining, the episode fell a bit flat. The series was trying too hard to be something different and resulted in the entire challenge feeling forced. The trio had to rescue hostages and take them to the embassy while fighting off insurgents. There was a distinct lack of vehicles present and even the banter felt wooden.

Sea To Unsalty Sea (Season 3, Episode 11)

The Grand Tour special episodes are known for their creativity, and also their hilarity, as they often involve the presenters using old cars or general vehicles and placing them well outside of their comfort zone. However, in this special, Clarkson, Hammond and May broke away from that formula and bought 3 grand touring cars for a drive from Georgia to Azerbaijan.

Since there were no real perilous obstacles for the trio to face, the whole episode felt a bit tame compared to their other adventures. There were still a couple of highlights, such as May breaking Stalin's cupboard and the 'real world race' but other than that, the episode just felt a bit dull. However, the stars of the show were, of course, the cars, which looked absolutely amazing.

International Buffoon's Vacation (Season 3, Episode 8)

This special was miles better than the previous entry but unfortunately, this space still had to be filled. Basically, Clarkson, Hammond, and May were told to go on holiday in the United States in RVs. Not willing to share, they each branched off and bought their own and modified them to their liking. May made his RV into a pub, Clarkson transformed his RV into a toilet/speedboat hybrid and Hammond bought a van and made it worse.

RELATED: 10 Hidden Details Everyone Missed In Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

It's always fun to watch the presenters create obstacles for themselves, and there were a lot of things that went wrong in this special, which was a very good thing. However, the one constant thread that ruined an otherwise great Grand Tour special was the weird thing with Jeremy and the show's ex-racing driver, the American. It just felt incredibly forced and detracted from the episode's sense of fun.

Feed The World (Season 2, Episode 11)

Season 2 of The Grand Tour suffered a lot of incidents behind the scenes. Firstly, there was Hammond's near-fatal car crash, which he miraculously survived almost unscathed. Then Clarkson fell ill for a while and so as a result, Season 2 had a shortened episode count (although 11 episodes are still fairly impressive).

One of the drawbacks of this season, however, was that it only featured one special. To be fair, Season 1 had one special as well, but it took up two episodes. "Feed The World" was a sort of mini special but despite that, it was surprisingly good. Tasked with transporting fish, the boys still regained their childish sense of humor and the special was all the better for it.

Colombia Special (Season 3, Episodes 2 & 3)

This was the first special of Season 3 and it really set the stage for what was to come. It was a traditional special in every sense of the word as Clarkson, Hammond, and May were given the simple task of becoming wildlife photographers. The trio was in top form as they made constant jokes about Colombia's certain trading export, as well as being totally useless at actually taking photographs.

RELATED: 10 Best Car Movies To Watch If You Like The Fast And Furious Franchise

There were loads of great moments in these couple of episodes, such as Clarkson's encounter with a group of people who really liked donkeys and the trio's attempts at photographing the animals. There were also some highly dangerous obstacles, such as rackety old bridges and the king of all hailstorms. The only drawback of this special was that it started out fairly slow and didn't truly pick up the pace until the second act.

The Grand Tour Presents: Seamen (Season 4, Episode 1)

The most recent special on this list, "Seamen" was a welcome return to The Grand Tour , after the show had been off-air for almost a year. Currently, in its fourth season, the series decided to try something new with this special and so it ditched the car element in favor of boats. This idea was risky but they managed to pull it off. It helped as well that the specials had been less about the vehicles in recent years.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May were given the challenge of journeying across Cambodia and Vietnam by boat. Cue lots of swearing, jokes and basic faffing about. It was incredibly entertaining to watch, as the lads clearly had no control over their boats. Even Clarkson, who was the only one who remained enthusiastic about the challenge struggled to keep his boat under control. It made for a truly great episode.

The Beach (Buggy) Boys (Season 1, Episodes 7 & 8)

Season 1 of The Grand Tour was a fairly shaky start to the show. The main issue was that it was a car show fronted by Clarkson, Hammond, and May, yet it somehow had to be different from Top Gear . In this season, the show overdid it with the differences. There were some entertaining bits but a lot of the messing around felt forced.

The best episodes of the season by far were the two episodes dedicated to the Namibia special. This was the lads doing what they do best, and in this case, their best was racing beach buggies across a desert. Their banter was in top form, the scenery was amazing and there were some genuinely heart-stopping moments. This was exactly what you want from a Grand Tour special.

Survival Of The Fattest (Season 3, Episode 13)

This was an amazing episode. It had all the usual features that make a special, spectacular, but it had a unique twist that no one saw coming. Often, the presenters go ahead and buy a vehicle and modify it for their upcoming adventure, but here, they actually built their own car from scratch.

Once they had actually built their car, Clarkson, Hammond, and May still kept the laughs coming. From christening their car 'John', and watching it hop up hills, to Clarkson and May refusing to let Hammond drive due to his reckless history, this special literally could do no wrong. The fact that all three had to travel in the same car meant that there was a camaraderie present that we hadn't seen before either.

Upcoming "The Grand Tour" Special May Be Clarkson, Hammond and May's Last

That doesn't necessarily mean "the grand tour" is dead, though..

Hammond standing next to Clarkson and May

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, the co-hosts of Amazon Prime’s “ The Grand Tour ,” are calling it quits. At least that’s the rumor, as reported by the BBC . If the BBC’s sources are accurate, though, that doesn’t necessarily mean that “The Grand Tour” is dead. Instead, “options are being explored for a new incarnation of the show.”

Suggested Reading

At the very least, fans of “ The Grand Tour ” will get one more special out of Clarkson, Hammond and May. They recently finished filming a new special in Zimbabwe that will air sometime next year.

Related Content

This news comes on the heels of the BBC’s recent announcement that the filming of “Top Gear,” the show that was previously hosted by the trio, had been put on an indefinite pause . One of the current hosts, Freddie Flintoff, was seriously injured in a crash at the “Top Gear” test track. That incident was far from the first time a “Top Gear” host was injured during filming. Perhaps most notably, Hammond was left in a coma and nearly died following a 2006 crash.

While Clarkson, Hammond and May hosted “Top Gear” together for 12 years starting in 2003, it all came to an end in 2015 when Clarkson became upset that hot food wasn’t available at the end of a shoot and began verbally abusing a producer, ultimately punching him.

Clarkson’s decision to punch his coworker got him fired because, well, anyone who punches a coworker, especially over something as trivial as food, deserves to lose their job. Both Hammond and May decided to leave the show following Clarkson’s departure, and the trio were quickly picked up by Amazon Prime for “The Grand Tour.”

Clarkson, of course, couldn’t avoid controversy going forward. Most notably, about a year ago, he wrote an absolutely vile column about Meghan Markle in the British tabloid The Sun.

In the meantime, Amazon has renewed Clarkson’s show about his farm, named “Clarkson’s Farm,” for a fourth season, according to Deadline . Fozia Khan, Amazon Studios’ head of unscripted in the UK, told the entertainment news publication that “The Grand Tour” might make a come back, just without its current famous leads:

The Clarkson’s Farm renewal came as Khan confirmed that Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have filmed their final installments of The Grand Tour . “It’s come to its natural end,” she said, but admitted that the format may continue with new presenters. Khan said her team was “thinking about” how the show can live on.

Jeremy Clarkson reveals 'pretty stupid' mistake on final Grand Tour episode

Jeremy Clarkson , James May and Richard Hammond are bidding farewell to The Grand Tour and their two decades together in style, though filming their last ever special wasn't without danger because they made a "pretty stupid" mistake.

The trio spoke candidly about their last ever special One For The Road — which premieres on Friday, 13 September on Prime Video — at a press event, revealing that they accidentally smuggled silver into Botswana in the process. In the episode Clarkson, Hammond and May begin their adventure in Zimbabwe and travel through Botswana to the location of their very first Top Gear special, Kubu Island, in cars they've always wanted.

While the experience let them reflect on 22 years working together there was still some risk involved, and interviewer Mariella Frostrup even went so far as to call the trio “perhaps the world’s dumbest criminals” by smuggling "huge amounts" of silver into Botswana. Clarkson revealed: "It was pretty stupid. I have to be a little bit careful because I believe the ambassador for Zimbabwe is here.

The film you're about to see is 50 minutes shorter than the one that will go out on Friday and one of the bits of the story that's disappeared is that we discovered that in Zim you can buy silver for pennies, really surprisingly cheap so we decided to buy a lot of it and use it to fashion accessories for our cars.

"Then when we got to the border with Botswana, we thought 'ohh s***, we've got all this silver'."

Hammond said that the trio were "not supposed to have it", which is why they were quite nervous when they reached the border between Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Frostrup added: "They thought that they got away with it. They were all breathing a sigh of relief. But of course, now it’s going to be on television across the globe and very hard to miss the fact that you’ve committed that crime, just saying."

Read more: Richard Hammond: 'I couldn't earn a living' before Top Gear

Explaining in more detail what happened whilst filming, Clarkson went on: "So we had to get across into Botswana without anybody noticing that we've got quite a lot of silver about our person", to which Hammond joked that they "carried it off with style and panache."

Fears at the border aside, the trio reflected on their decision to end the show was because they have now "run out of things to do" after filming together for two decades. According to Clarkson they have been everywhere and seen everything they can, and because the world has "got much smaller" it felt impossible to continue.

"Years ago there was a contract renewal, and we just said 'OK, we'll do one more go, three years and then we'll end it'," Clarkson said. "Because we knew we had driven cars further and higher, and in more difficult places than anyone else and we were starting to think 'what else can you do with a car?' and so that had a big bearing on it.

"But the other thing, if I may just be serious for a moment, is the world has got much smaller in the last few years. I mean not that long ago we did a show where we began in Iraq and went up into eastern Turkey, where the PKK are now operating, and we dropped down into Syria and went through Homs and Al Wakrah and Palmyra, then into Jordan and then into Israel. We wouldn't do any of that now.

"And we also did [a show where] we started in the Crimea and went up to Chernobyl through Kyiv, well we couldn't do that. Russia, we couldn't do that, there's a million places.... so you're left going: 'It's f***ing France'. People might say 'You did France last year', 'but that was Marseille, now it's Nice'.

"So we have, we've run out of things to do and we've run out of places to go, and I was fat."

While they're now finished with The Grand Tour officially, Clarkson said he didn't find it "desperately sad" because he, Hammond and May have continued to see each other since filming ended, and he's worked with many of the same crew members.

Read more: James May: We were 'stilted' and 'old-fashioned' in the early days of Top Gear

"It was a surprising thing," he said. "It wasn't desperately sad when we finished because obviously I see these two whenever I want, and then I've continued to work with most of the film crew anyway. So it wasn't like you were saying goodbye to anyone particularly.

"Tonight, though... you say 'oh, I wonder if it was a bigger show than we perhaps thought it was'."

May felt moved by the experience because of how significant his career with Hammond and Clarkson has been to his life: "It is emotional, yes, because it's taken up a third of my life. It's significant, I only ever held any other job down for about 12 or 14 months.

"So it is significant and all things have to come to an end and I think we ended on a bit of a high. But it's not sad."

The Grand Tour: One For the Road premieres on Prime Video on Friday, 13 September.

Richard Hammond says 'we saved best for last' as Grand Tour trio look back on 22 years

Oliver Browning | Wednesday 11 September 2024 14:54 BST

Richard Hammond says ‘we saved best for last’ as Grand Tour trio look back on 22-year career

Richard Hammond believes he, Jeremy Clarkson and James May have “saved the best to last” with The Grand Tour finale.

The TV presenter made the comments during an extended Q&A at BBC Television Centre ahead of a preview of the final episode of the trio’s Amazon Prime show, titled One For The Road .

Ahead of the special airing on Friday 13 September, Hammond, Clarkson and May looked back on their 22-year career working together.

The trio reminisced on stories from the early days of Top Gear in 2002, through to shooting their final special in Zimbabwe last year.

“I think we’re all in agreement, [Zimbabwe] is probably the most beautiful place any of us have ever been,” Clarkson said.

“You could argue we saved the best until last,” Hammond added.

Jeremy Clarkson Confirms The Grand Tour’s Final Episode on Amazon Prime

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed the end of The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime after next year. This announcement marks the conclusion of a series beloved by fans since its inception in 2016.

Key Takeaways:

  • End of The Grand Tour: Jeremy Clarkson, along with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May , will no longer film new series of The Grand Tour after next year, following a decision by Amazon Prime’s executives. This marks the end of a popular show that started in 2016 and quickly garnered a devoted fanbase.
  • Fan Reactions and Future Prospects: Fans expressed their disappointment and gratitude on social media, reflecting on the impact the show had on their lives. Despite the end of this era, there’s speculation that Amazon Prime may revive The Grand Tour with new hosts, a move reportedly welcomed by the current presenters.
  • Clarkson’s Future Endeavours: Clarkson mentioned a focus on his other project, ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, and there are two more special episodes of The Grand Tour slated for release, featuring travels to Mauritania and Zimbabwe.

the grand tour upcoming specials

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, renowned for his role in the popular car show The Grand Tour alongside Richard Hammond and James May, has recently spoken about the future of the series. The show, which began on Amazon Prime in 2016, has been a fan favourite but will see no further series after next year. This decision, made by the streaming platform’s bosses, brings an end to a series that has been both entertaining and influential for car enthusiasts.

Clarkson shared his thoughts on Instagram, stating:

“Been a busy day. No more Grand Tour after next year but a LOT more Clarkson’s Farm. Which, this evening, is looking extremely lovely.”

This post quickly became a hub for fans to express their feelings about the series ending. The emotional reactions ranged from sadness over the show’s conclusion to appreciation for the years of entertainment it provided.

One fan commented:

the grand tour upcoming specials

“Please start a podcast with the three of you, it can just be called the news and you rant for an hour about cars.”

Others expressed their gratitude:

“The end of Clarkson, Hammond and May in whatever it’s called is a sad day. Thank you for everything you did for petrolheads. And now farmheads!”

The influence of the trio was evident in another fan’s words:

“It’s really nice coming to the comments and seeing how these 3 impacted the lives of so many. These lads got me through countless dark times with laughter and endless banter. We all knew the day was coming, and the truest of fans will wish you, Hammond, May, and indeed all of the crew that made the magic happen the absolute best in the next stage. Thank you for inspiring countless enthusiasts around the world.”

Despite Clarkson’s announcement, there’s talk that Amazon Prime might continue The Grand Tour with new hosts. An insider revealed:

“It’s a surprising decision and everyone realises it very much marks the end of an era for the three presenters.”

This potential revival aligns with the presenters’ acceptance of passing the torch to a new generation.

“The Grand Tour is one of Prime Video’s most watched shows and Jeremy, James and Richard have a devoted following. But the guys have made no bones about the fact they’re all advancing in years and they have lots of other projects to pursue,” a source informed The Sun. “They just felt like the time was right and wanted to go out on a high when the show remained popular.”

As fans prepare to bid farewell to this iconic trio, they can look forward to two more special episodes of The Grand Tour, showcasing the team’s adventures in Mauritania and Zimbabwe. This farewell follows their departure from Top Gear in 2015, after a disagreement with producers.

"Whatever the record means to everyone else, it represents a remarkable time in our lives when we were young and devil-may-care, we were taking risks, wanting to prove our mettle, and more than anything else we want to celebrate that: the madness, the wild combinations, the pure creativity of it all. "

The statement continued:

So we asked a bunch of artists we love and respect to actually take liberties with the songs and either rearrange or deconstruct the material completely, to take the engine apart essentially and not be precious about it.

The statement further added:

"And they weren't, and to us this is the only tribute to our record that matters:- heroes of ours, young guns as well as old friends and peers complimenting our music by uncovering new possibilities and new meaning within it. These bands are all caviar for the general and we are honored they took time to be a part of this. Thank you all."

Green Day 2025 Australia Tour Ticket Tips

Are there ticket limits in place?

There is a strict limit of six (6) tickets per customer for the presale and ten (10) tickets per customer for the General Public.

Please adhere to the published ticket limit. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster at its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or any other information.

Are there Collector Tickets available?

Yes! Want a memento to remember your night? When selecting your tickets make sure you choose the Collector Ticket option to receive your Green Day  souvenir.

Collector Tickets will be dispatched approximately one month prior to the event.

How do I purchase Accessible Seating tickets?

We’ve updated our seating framework to include a larger range of accessible seating options. There will be an option for every price level and package available.

Accessible tickets (including Companion Cards) can be purchased by calling our Customer Service team on the Accessible Bookings line Monday – Sunday 9am – 5pm AEST:  1300 446 925 . This phone number is reserved for patrons with accessibility requirements and companion cardholders and cannot process any other ticketing requests.

Accessible tickets, both during presales and the general public sale period, can also be requested via our  Submit a request – Ticketmaster Help . Please be sure to include your relevant presale code with your request if wanting to make a booking during the presale period.

Will there be a queue in place prior to ticketing going on sale?

We expect that tickets to Green Day  will be in high demand, and to make the process fair for everyone you may be placed in a queue.

You will be assigned a random place in the queue once the onsale starts. Your place in the queue is not based on what time you entered the Waiting Room. We suggest entering the Waiting Room 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the Presale.

Once you get your spot in the queue, please do not refresh your browser as you will be pushed to the end of the line.

We will get you through the queue as quickly as possible, so please sit tight.

How will I receive tickets?

All tickets purchased through Ticketmaster are now digital, meaning you can easily access your tickets on your phone via the Ticketmaster app or mobile web browser via  Ticketmaster.com.au , add them straight to your phone’s ticket wallet, and share them with your friends and family.

What are the top tips to know before purchasing tickets

Ticketholders need a My Ticketmaster account to access Green Day  tickets.  Sign up or sign in here .

Only purchase through Ticketmaster to guarantee you have a valid ticket for entry on event day.

Take an extra five minutes to carefully read through our ‘All You Need to Know’ article in detail to best prepare for ticket on sale.

Log into your Ticketmaster account and update your password if needed!

Get in early and ensure all your MyTicketmaster account details are up to date – from your password to your card details and your phone number.

Ticketmaster will regularly ask you to update your password to ensure the security of your account – you don’t want to get stuck having to change your password while the ticket timer is counting down during onsale as you can risk losing the incredible tickets you have secured.

Instead, now that you know you want to purchase tickets, log into your account and update your password today to ensure you are ready to nab those tickets.

Get to know Ticket Transfer so everyone has their own ticket

1. Open the Ticketmaster App

2. Tap on my events and select the event you want to Ticket Transfer

3. Tap ‘Transfer’ below the ticket you want to share (please note: you may have to wait a moment for the ‘Transfer’ button to load)

4. On the ‘Select Tickets To Transfer’ page, confirm the ticket you want to share (please note – you must Transfer each ticket individually)

5. Tap the ‘Transfer To’ button. Tap ‘Manually Enter A Recipient’ & enter your friend’s ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’, and ‘Email Address or Mobile Number’

6. Tap ‘Transfer Ticket’. The ticket in your account will now say “Sent”. You can cancel or recall the Ticket Transfer at any time.

7. Your friend receives an email, asking them to accept the transferred tickets, and they can either login or create a new Ticketmaster account to accept.

8. The tickets are now ready to go in your friend’s Ticketmaster account and marked as ‘Transferred’ in your account

Find out more about Ticket Transfer – including how to accept and open a transferred ticket here.

Hints and tips for improving your chances of getting GREEN DAY tickets

Make sure you have a my ticketmaster account.

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance –  Ticketmaster.com.au .

Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as you are progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window while you’re in the  Waiting Room  and when you’re being pushed through  the Smart Queue  and always resist the urge to refresh.

Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Remember: there are a lot of fans

We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is this popular, sometimes they go very quickly.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.

Green Day will be coming to Australia in March 2025. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
