Although not as big as the 170-hectare Cebu Safari and Adventure Park , the 40-hectare Clark Safari and Adventure Park is home to over 1,500 wildlife creatures including tigers, lions, bears, monkeys, reptiles, different species of birds, and many more. It’s still a real treat to kids and the kids at heart, especially to animal lovers.

There are different tickets for adults and children. See price list below:

Clark Safari entrance fee 2024

• Adults: ( ₱999 ) ₱599 on Klook
• Children (4 feet & below): ( ₱699 ) ₱499 on Klook
• Children 2 feet and below are free to enter the safari.
• Children over 4 feet will pay the adult price.

The park is open daily, from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 6pm . Last admission is 5.30pm.

How to get there

Clark Safari is located at 67 Jose Abad Santos Avenue, Clark Freeport, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Philippines . It is approximately 2 to 3 hours away from Metro Manila by private vehicle. Refer to this Google map for navigation.

To reach the park, you can either drive a car or take a bus .

Driving a car is the most convenient way to reach Clark Safari. You can drive via North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and SCTEX, then exit 91 towards Clark. Drive to Prince Balagtas Avenue, then to Claro M. Recto Highway. Drive straight until you reach the safari.

Tip: Don’t have your own car to drive to Clark Safari? Why not rent a car with a professional driver instead? Prices vary depending on the type of car and the number of passengers.

From Cubao or Pasay, ride a Victory Liner bus that goes to Dau Terminal in Mabalacat, Pampanga. At the main road, find a tricycle that will take you to Clark Safari.

Alternatively, you can take the Genesis P2P buses from NAIA 3 or Trinoma that go to Clark International Airport. Then, you can take a Grab or taxi that will take you to the safari.

Kingdom Panthera

At Kingdom Panthera , you’ll find the Bengal tiger, white tigers, white lions, spotted leopard, black panther, Arctic and Northwestern wolves, striped hyena, black-backed jackal, and jaguar.

Bear Kingdom

The Bear Kingdom features brown bears, hamadryas baboons, long-tailed macaques, patas monkeys, and African wild dogs.

Reptile Kingdom

Inside Reptile Kingdom , you’ll see African spurred tortoises, Philippine forest turtles, green iguanas, saltwater crocodiles, Samar water monitors, and butaan (Gray’s monitor).

There’s also a section where you’ll see different species of birds including parrots, doves, great white pelicans, hornbills, cockatoos, brahminy kites, and serpent eagles. If you want to have a photo op with them, you can proceed to the Photobooth Area.

O ne of the most anticipated tourist attractions in Clark, Pampanga, is the newly-opened Clark Safari and Adventure Park, which has been charming the hearts of Filipino kids ever since its soft opening in December 2021. This massive zoo covers a massive area of 40 hectares full of action-packed live entertainment, exciting rides, and of course, lovely animal tours and adventure. It is said that a total of P135 Million worth of investments have been allocated to the zoo’s development which will soon become one of the country’s major tourist landmarks.

Clark and Safari Adventure Park can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors daily, where they can admire, learn, and even interact with more than 1,500 animals! 70 are guaranteed tamed, so everyone is free and encouraged to interact with them with proper supervision. The zoo also aims to display the rich ethnic culture of the Philippines as performances from Aeta Tribes are included in the entertainment itinerary.

Everyone is guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience here at Clark Safari and Adventure Park, from close encounters with cute mammals to fierce reptiles such as snakes and crocodiles.

Kingdom Panthera

Clark Safari and Adventure Park is home to several big cats or members of the genus Panthera. These animals include tigers, lions, hyenas, jaguars, caracals, and many more. Apart from taking care of animals, the zoo also focuses on protecting endangered species such as the Bengal Tigers, which are only native to countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Western China, and others.

Another cute attraction in Kingdom Panthera is the baby White Tiger cubs from India. These carnivorous animals from India are also considered endangered and therefore protected in Clark Safari. It’s been so long since we went to a zoo, last time was at Singapore Zoo back in 2019. When I saw a celebrity posted about this newly opened Clark Safari on Instagram, I told Kyle we should pay a visit. They had their soft opening last October 2021. Clark Safari and Adventure Park is located at. 67 Jose Abad Santos Ave, Clark Freeport, Mabalacat, Pampanga. They are open daily, from Monday to Sunday, 8AM to 5PM with cut off of 4PM.

Entrance fees are posted below. You may walk in or book an online reservation via this link .

Requirements:

• Vaccination card for all visitors (this will be asked upon entering Clark and the safari)
• For adults and kids who are not vaccinated, they must present a negative antigen or RT PCR test results
• Wear mask at all times (you can quickly remove it when taking photos or eating)
• Social Distancing

Travel Tips:

• Schedule your visit early to avoid the crowd. We went on a Thursday, arrived at 7:30AM and we had the safari all to ourselves. Less contact and safer
• Wear comfortable clothes because you’ll do a lot of walking. We wore caps to avoid the sun to hit our face directly
• Bring water, you may also buy drinks inside the safari

Where to eat?

They have food trucks outside, snacks area, and a restaurant as well. When we arrived, food trucks were still closed, I think they open during lunch time

Upon entering the place, you will see these decorations to feel the safari vibe

Just show your ticket to the personnel at the gate and you’re good to go!

First stop is the Lagoon where you can walk around, take photos of the animal sculpture like elephants and giraffes

After the Lagoon, you’ll see the Reptile Kingdom

Next to that is the petting area. You can feed the rabbits and goats for free

Of course, the brown bears! Unfortunately, the brown bears were sleeping when we were there. This photo was borrowed from Clark Safari’s Instagram page.

They have a description and conservation status per animal which is a good learning session for the kids, and adults too.

Beside the Brown Bears are the Baboons. We loved watching the Baboons, they like running and chasing each other

You’ll also see ponies, Taal rescue horses, cows, and zebras in one area.

Big and small cats are also a must see! Make sure to bring a DSLR camera to zoom in and take better photos. Unfortunately my phone didn’t do much justice to their beauty because they’re far. Second and third photo were borrowed from Clark Safari’s Instagram page.

These black wolves are not joking, they look so scary when they look at you in the eyes

Sadly, we weren’t able too see the white tiger cub, they said they’re still being vaccinated and will be available to hold closely by Chinese New Year. Just look how cute it is!

Lastly, photo op area with some animals. There’s a PHP50 fee per photo per person with them.

This Albino Burmese Python is named Sharon. She weighs 50 kilograms, almost same as my weight! So, yes, she’s heavy. Kyle got a bit scared so he took my photo instead.

These beautiful birds are gentle and playful. Safe to take photos with them!

The kids will surely enjoy taking photos with these animal sculptures, they can play around it too.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park

We traveled for an hour and a half to Clark Safari and Adventure Park. It is a big, instagrammable zoo in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park Entrance Fee

We bought our tickets at the entrance of the park. Here are the 2023 Clark Safari and Adventure Park entrance fees:

They have a very photogenic entrance so we also took some photos before we entered the park.

They do not allow food and drinks inside the zoo but you can buy them inside the zoo.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park Lagoon

The first area we entered is the Lagoon. It has big statues of giraffes and elephants in the middle of it. They also have a Kids Spot area where you can take instagrammable photos.

Reptile Kingdom

The first area with real animals is the Reptile Kingdom. They have a lot of turtles here – baby turtles and really big ones too like the African Spurred Tortoise.

Next, we saw a lot of crocodiles! It was a bit scary at first because there were a lot of them.

We also saw some cool big iguanas there like the Green Iguanas. It was so cool because they were living with turtles!

There were a lot of interesting, and a bit scary, reptiles in this zoo.

Rin’s Petting Zoo

Next, we went to Rin’s Petting Zoo. We saw a lot of fish there and we got to feed rabbits and goats. It was so much fun! This is my favorite part of the zoo.

Next, we went to see the bears! They had a very big area and we had a hard time seeing them first because they were sleeping.

We saw baboons beside the bears. There were quite a few of them!

⭐ Tip! Bring a camera with a good zoom if you want to take pictures. Sometimes, they sleep at the back and it can be hard to take pictures with just a phone.

We saw some Taal rescue horses in the middle of the zoo. We got some snacks and drinks in this area too.

There were also ostriches and zebras here.

Panthera Kingdom

After that, we went to see the lions and tigers. There were even wolves and a Jaguar!

Next, we visited the birds’ area! We saw a lot of colorful birds there like the cockatoo, eagles, and pelicans.

Uphill Area

After the snakes’ area, we went up this uphill area where there was a lot of fun animal instagrammable area.

There were also a few animals up the hill like pigs and goats. There was a nice view too.

Other Animals

After that, we saw a Fennec Fox and some snakes!

I liked exploring Clark Safari and Adventure Park.

It is very clean and photogenic, the petting zoo was really fun for me and my brother and it is so huge! I wish they have an elephant and a giraffe but that’s ok since we had a great time.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park opens

CLARK FREEPORT – Clark Safari and Adventure Park finally had its soft opening last December 8, 2021, Wednesday, riding in with the recent decrease of COVID-19 cases and relaxed protocols, eyeing the return of visitors and guests who have been deprived of outdoor activities two years into this pandemic.

The 40-hectare zoological leisure park can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors who will enjoy learning and seeing more than 1,500 live animals and 70 animal species up-front. 

A ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Clark Safari owner Romy Sitchon, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, and CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan officially opened the facility. 

They were joined by CDC Chief-of-Staff Dennis C. Legaspi, Engr. Mariza O. Mandocdoc, CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance; Rynah F. Ventura, CDC Vice President for Business Development; Thelma C. Ocampo, CDC Assistant Vice President for Investment Promotions Divisions I; and Erwin C. Bognot, CDC Manager for Building and Facilities Permits Division.

The program includes a live orchestra performance that serenaded guests, including one hundred young Aetas who were able to circle the park’s complete 15-hectare Phase 1 area.

The zoo management ensured that essential health and safety protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) were observed and implemented.

Visitors to Clark Safari can expect thrilling activities in the zoo tour like animal feeding and spot photography with some tamed creatures. According to Sitchon, more activities are coming their way upon completing the zoo’s Phase 2: a theme park, safari rides, zip lines, and ATV rides. 

The zoo is open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, including holidays, to people of all ages. Entrance fees are affordable, with rates starting at P399 for kids (four feet below) and P499 for adults.

Kids three feet below will be free of charge, while Senior Citizens and PWDs will have a 20% discount.

About P135 million worth of investments for the development of the zoo. Sitchon shared how delighted he is to finally welcome visitors and tourists to the Freeport’s newest attraction after a series of lockdowns delayed its launch.

THE newest tourist attraction, Clark Safari and Adventure Park, is now open. The 40-hectare zoo, which features more than 1,500 live animals and 70 animal species, opened its doors to the public on December 8, 2021. Clark Safari can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors while implementing basic health and safety protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to ensure the safety of all guests. Clark Safari owner Sitchon poured in P135 million worth of investment for the development of the zoo. Entrance fees are as follows: P399 for kids (four feet above), and P499 for adults. Kids that are three feet below are free of charge, while senior citizens and persons with disabilities get 20 percent discount. Expect more attractions and activities upon the completion of the zoo’s Phase 2 including a theme park, zip lines, and ATV rides.

Homelessness rates in Southern Nevada up 36% over past two years

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The number of people facing homelessness in Southern Nevada continues to grow.

On Wednesday, Clark County released the results of their annual census, which was carried out by volunteers on Jan. 25, 2024.

On any given night, 7,906 people in Clark County are experiencing homelessness. That's a 20% jump compared to 2023 and a 36% jump compared to 2022 .

According to county data, the most impacted groups are women, African Americans, and those between 35 and 44 years old.

County officials add that while individuals experiencing homelessness currently represent less than 1% of the overall population, the number of people and proportion relative to the total population have been rising.

Those trends "indicate a potential shift towards increased homelessness" and allow county officials to plan for the future, including putting proactive measures in place like adding additional shelter locations and adding affordable housing and permanent supportive housing programs.

How do we compare to other cities?

When looking at national data, Las Vegas is number 11 when it comes to the largest population of those experiencing homelessness on a single night.

(Note: Las Vegas numbers include those people in shelters as well as people on the street. Other major cities ranked lower on the list below only provided shelter-only counts. Based on shelter-only rates, Las Vegas would rank in the 20 to 25 range.)

What is causing homeless rates to go up in Southern Nevada?

One of the biggest factors in the rise of homeless rates is housing affordability and income.

For example, between 2021 and 2022, median household prices surged by over 35%, according to Clark County. Officials add that income did increase but was "comparatively slower, growing at approximately half the rate of the surge in median household prices and Fair Market Rents."

That tracks with data from the Princeton University Eviction Lab , which tracks housing and rent costs across the country.

Over the past year, there have been 51,825 eviction filings in Las Vegas, which is up 42%, compared to an average year before the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking closer, there have been 4,983 eviction filings in just the last month, which is up 63%, compared to an average year before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of those evictions are in the central or eastern part of the valley.

Princeton researchers say the data in Clark County is likely an undercount because those records "are only available with a delay".

What are valley officials doing to help those experiencing homelessness?

In Clark County, there are 9,013 total beds for people experiencing homelessness. That number includes emergency shelters, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, other than permanent housing, and rapid rehousing.

According to the 2024 census data, only 7,635 of those beds were used on any given night, or about 85%

Clark County has been looking for ways to add beds and last year, they opened the Clark County Navigation Center . A former Motel 6 was converted into temporary housing for up to 70 people. The Vintage Safari Motel was also converted into transitional housing.

In response to the 2023 homeless census, Clark County also added non-congregate shelter beds to help individuals find safer and more suitable accommodations and get more people off the street.

In May, Clark County commissioners approved over $66 million in funds to go towards constructing and rehabilitating affordable housing units for low to extremely low-income residents. That round of funding is going to nine projects, which will create 1,273 units.

The City of Las Vegas also has the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center, which has case managers to help people navigate the resources they need to get off the streets. That includes a computer lab, medical care, laundry room, showers, bathrooms, and a kennel for people's animals.

The Courtyard also has a free Arrow shuttle that transports people to service providers such as the DMV, Nevada Job Connect, and the Goodwill Career Center.

Las Vegas also has a Multi-agency Outreach Resource Engagement, or MORE, team. They provide mobile intervention and outreach services to homeless individuals that live in encampments, the street, flood control tunnels, and outlying uninhabited areas around Las Vegas.
