Le Tigre Roar Back for First Tour in 18 Years

Le Tigre will return to the road for their first tour in 18 years.

The electro-punk trio will play a lone show in Philadelphia on May 27 before heading over to Europe and the U.K. The North American leg of the tour will officially begin July 1 with a set at the Mosswood Meltdown Festival (hosted by filmmaker John Waters) in Oakland, California. Le Tigre will criss-cross North America the rest of the month, wrapping up July 28 at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn.

Tickets for all new shows will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 27, at 12 p.m. ET. Full info is available on Le Tigre’s website .

Support for the tour includes Shamir, Morgan and the Organ Donors, Claud, Big Joanie, Man on Man, Chicks on Speed, Pom Pom Squad, Dream Wife, Problem Patterns, Who is She?, Erin Markey, Cumgirl8, Morgan Bassichis.

For the next 17 years, the members of Le Tigre largely focused on other projects, only reuniting in 2016 for a song, “I’m With Her,” in support of Hillary Clinton’s presidential run. In August 2022, they finally reunited on stage at the This Ain’t No Picnic festival .

Le Tigre @ Barrowlands, Glasgow, 6 Jun

Returning to touring after an almost 20-year hiatus, le tigre deliver a flawless set to an excitable and varied barrowlands crowd.

Le Tigre are back for their first full tour in nearly 20 years, following their amicable hiatus due to touring fatigue in 2007. The excitement in the room is palpable amongst a widely varied crowd. Kathleen Hanna has been a central figure in West Coast DIY culture since the early 90s, and tonight it shows: grungey dads in Bikini Kill T-shirts, still-got-it punks in their 50s, and teenagers, drawn into the band as many before from the enduring appeal of Deceptacon, a recent TikTok hit.

Problem Patterns from Northern Ireland get the crowd going with swaggering ease, swapping instruments to thrash out joyful vitriol, but  Le Tigre come on in a much more orderly fashion. In matching outfits, they poise themselves equidistantly and begin, Devo-like, robotically gyrating to a throbbing drum machine. Video effects and lyrics are projected live onto the wall behind them, and the crowd waste no time in belting out the words to The The Empty, TKO, and FYR, a shouty triptych to get things started.

Then it's into the sweet, odd little songs that only bands like Le Tigre make: My My Metrocard, What's Yr Take on Cassavetes. How many bands could get the Barrowlands screaming a chorus about appraising the problematic history of an actor who's been dead for 34 years (probably the average age of the crowd)?

It's almost unbelievable that live Hanna sounds like she does on record (which, we know, is a stupid thing to think). Her voice is so full and distinctive above the band and the crowd it almost sounds double-tracked (which, of course, it's not). JD Samson provides the cool, angular counterpoint to her gleeful energy; she takes lead vocals on Viz and everyone barrels in behind her. Her final verse on Keep On Livin' makes Hanna cry on stage. Then Eau d'Bedroom Dancing makes everyone else cry to close the set. Then the inevitable encore of their two most perfect hits: Phanta and Deceptacon. Obviously the place goes wild.

Deceptacon is one of the most perfect songs of the last 25 years, and this is about as perfect a Le Tigre performance as you could ever want or expect. Thank the heavens for bringing them back to us.

Le Tigre Announce First Tour in Nearly 20 Years

Le Tigre have announced their first North American tour dates since 2005. The shows take place in the spring and summer. Check out the full list of dates below.

Le Tigre last album was 2004’s This Island . They released the pro–Hillary Clinton single “ I’m With Her ” in 2016. Last year, they performed at This Ain’t No Picnic and confidentially settled a lawsuit from a songwriter who claimed their hit “Deceptacon” infringed upon his copyright.

Le Tigre Announce First Tour in 18 Years

The Kathleen Hanna-led band will play shows in North America and Europe

The recently-reunited Le Tigre are hitting the road in 2023. The dance-punk band composed of Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman have today announced their first run of tour dates in 18 years.

Le Tigre will kick things off in Philadelphia on May 27th before trekking across Europe in June, including appearances at  Primavera Sound in both Portugal and Spain. Upon their return to North America, they’ll kick off the West Coast leg in Oakland on July 3rd, hitting cities including Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and Boston before the big finale at Brooklyn Steel on July 28th.

Tickets for Le Tigre’s 2023 tour go on sale this Friday, January 27th at 12:00 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster .

Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman have announced they will be embarking on their first tour as Le Tigre in 18 years. The trio will kick off their European leg on June 1 at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound before heading to North America the following month, bringing the tour to a close at Brooklyn Steel on July 28. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 27 at 12:00 pm ET. Find the list of dates below.

The recently-reunited Le Tigre are hitting the road in 2023. The dance-punk band composed of Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman have today announced their first run of tour dates in 18 years.

Le Tigre will kick things off in Philadelphia on May 27th before trekking across Europe in June, including appearances at  Primavera Sound in both Portugal and Spain. Upon their return to North America, they’ll kick off the West Coast leg in Oakland on July 3rd, hitting cities including Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and Boston before the big finale at Brooklyn Steel on July 28th.

Tickets for Le Tigre’s 2023 tour go on sale this Friday, January 27th at 12:00 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster .

Le Tigre Announced Their First International Tour In Nearly Two Decades Beginning In The Spring

Last year, indie rock icons Le Tigre shocked fans with their first group performance in over a decade at the This Ain’t No Picnic festival. While singer Kathleen Hanna has lent her vocals to Marvel’s show WandaVision , fans of the band are still craving more. Now, the Le Tigre is obliging their supporters with an international tour kicking off this spring.

For the first time in nearly two decades, all members (Kathleen Hanna, Johanna Fateman, and JD Samson) will embark on a 24-city tour. The tour will feature stops at music festivals Primavera Sound Barcelona, Primavera Sound Madrid, Nos Primavera Sound Porto, and Mosswood Meltdown Festival, as well as solo shows in several major cities.

The tour will begin in Philadelphia on Memorial Day weekend and end in Brooklyn in late July. View the full tour schedule below.

Le Tigre Reveal Reunion Tour Dates

Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman are lining up shows across the UK, Europe and North America through this year

Le Tigre have shared details of a reunion tour, marking their first full run of live dates in 18 years.

The trio of Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman will kick off their run in Philadelphia on May 27, before heading to the UK and Europe for a run of shows through June that takes in the Barcelona, Madrid and Porto editions of Primavera Sound, as well as headline gigs in cities such as London, Glasgow, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. The group will return to North America in July to play in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Chicago, Montreal, Seattle and elsewhere.

Tickets for all non-festival dates will go on sale this Friday (January 27). Find the full list of shows here .

One of the most thrilling live music experiences I’ve ever had was when watching Le Tigre, despite it being a set that featured very little in the way of live music at all. The Kathleen Hanna-led trio came on to the stage, and put on a DVD of videos to accompany their songs (they went through the route menu and everything). And then... they jumped and shouted along to it, and it was absolutely incredible. The whole experience had such an air of being a party to end all parties about it that it was difficult to latch on to any of the righteous social and political messages contained in each and every song, but what was clever about it was that the words you were singing to yourself as you exited the gig actually had the potential to be pretty life changing if taken to heart. Very much putting the party in party political, Le Tigre concerts are a raucous, technicolour explosions of sights and sounds that’ll challenge not only what you deem to call “live” music, but maybe one or two deep seated prejudices as well. You’ll likely come out of the entire experience a much better, far sweatier person.

Nile Rodgers and Chic confirm unmissable Glasgow Barrowlands gig as part of new tour

The legendary hitmaker is coming to Glasgow as part of a run of live shows across the UK this November. With hits like 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times', he has been at the forefront of the music industry.

The irrepressible Nile Rodgers is on his way to Glasgow as part of a new UK-wide tour.

The legendary hitmaker has confirmed he will be heading to the Barrowlands in November for what is sure to be an unmissable show.

Performing with Chic on Wednesday, November 27, the star will also be hitting Newcastle, Blackpool and Leicester as part of the tour.

With hits like 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times', Nile Rodgers has been at the forefront of the music industry winning multiple awards as a musician, songwriter and record producer and helping to co-found Chic.

Speaking about the event, organisers said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Nile Rodgers and Chic will be returning to the UK for a run of live shows in November."

Currently, Nile serves as the first-ever chief creative advisor for Abbey Road Studios, helms the critically acclaimed Apple Music 1’s “Deep Hidden Meaning Radio with Nile Rodgers” and is the co-founder and Chairman of the We Are Family Foundation, since 2002.

Tickets are now set to go on sale on Friday, September 13 from 10 am at Ticketmaster .
