Is rafting in moab worth it.
You can explore the red sandstone canyons of southern Utah through Moab rafting trips! There isn’t really any place on earth quite like it, as you’ll know if you’re familiar with the famous terrain that surrounds Moab.
You’re sure to find the ideal river adventure with many half-day, full-day, and multi-day Moab rafting options.
For various reasons, the greatest way to experience the Colorado River is on a guided river rafting trip. Most importantly, the rafting business will provide the necessary gear for your excursion. Of course, knowledgeable river guides will also emphasize your safety, use their exceptional navigational skills, and point out some of the river’s best-undiscovered gems.
The Moab Daily, a class III section of the Colorado River close to Moab, is probably the most floated river section in Utah. Families, locals, and tour operators all adore the 14-mile stretch. Even though it is a class III float, it is suitable for beginners at flows lower than roughly 10,000 cfs.
To assist you in gauging the size and difficulty of the whitewater, all rivers are categorized according to their “class” rating.
Larger waves, constricting channels, and numerous obstructions seen in Class IV rapids necessitate precision maneuvering to prevent upset. These rapids are more frequently longer, steeper, and “difficult,” meaning they require turns, spins, and lateral current movements.
For a very long time, Moab’s luxurious swimming holes were kept a “locals only” secret, yet these alluring treasures couldn’t remain hidden forever. The muddy Colorado River is the closest body of water to Moab but is tucked away in a nearby canyon, and Mill Creek is a hidden gem for anyone looking for some leisure time.

Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!
This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments, before cutting through a towering red rock canyon that meanders back toward Moab. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and so on.
As for the waters on this stretch, they stay pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect river games, splash fights, and lots of fun interpretations from your river guide on this mild trip!
Those looking for more adventure usually opt for a kayak to take on the Colorado themselves, while loungers on the rafts soak in the Utah sun. Now, if the sound of Castle Valley isn’t floating your boat, check out Cataract Canyon for the biggest and baddest whitewater in Utah.

If you are visiting Moab, UT, during the warm season, there is one activity that you really have to do, and that is rafting in Moab !
But what to expect and which rafting tour is right for you?
In this article, we share our experience with a half-day family-friendly Moab rafting tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip to the Moab area and a soft-adventure experience I can highly recommend to everyone.
In addition, we included some suggestions for longer and/or more adventurous rafting tours in Moab. There truly is a suitable and enjoyable Moab rafting experience for everyone.
At the end of the article, you can also find some practical tips for what to wear when going rafting in Moab. Read on!
With so many amazing things to do in Moab, Arches, and Canyonlands National Parks , it might be tough to narrow down your options. However, if you are visiting Moab in the summer months, there really is no better way to experience this beautiful area than going on a rafting trip on the Colorado River!
There are several reasons to go rafting in Moab. First, you get to see the most incredible scenery that isn’t easily accessible otherwise. Furthermore, rafting is the best activity that can truly be enjoyed in the scorching heat of the Utah desert in summer.
And finally, it’s a fun activity that can be done with the whole family, and is a great way to bond and spend quality time together. A couple of hours of just being there and living in a moment. Give it a try and you’ll love it!
There are several companies organizing rafting trips in Moab and they are all quite similar in terms of itinerary and pricing.
Below are some of the most popular options for rafting tours in Moab . If you rather do more research yourself, here you can find a big selection of rafting tours on Viator and on Get Your Guide , our favorite tour booking platform. When we can, we book tours via GetYourGuide, because they usually offer the most flexible cancelation options.
Half-day EASY trip . This is one of the most popular rafting experiences in Moab and the that we did. It covers 7 miles on a very quiet part of the Colorado River with class 1 & 2 rapids. It’s a really relaxing trip and your guide does all the paddling.
This rafting tour is perfect for those who want a relaxing, family-friendly rafting experience , but it’s definitely not exciting enough for those who want more adventure. For that, see the full-day tour below.
We were in Moab with three young kids and this was the best rafting tour for families that we found. The trip is suitable for everyone and it doesn’t require any experience. Furthermore, the scenery is stunning, and you can go swimming in the river if you want to. And don’t worry much about swimming because it’s really easy. Your guide chooses a safe part of the river for swimming and since you’re wearing life vests, you’re basically just floating with no effort whatsoever. It’s so much fun.
Keep in mind, that for this tour, children have to weigh 50 lbs (23 kg) in order to fit into the lifejackets. You may have to contact them if you have younger kids.
Good to know: Moab rafting tours include transfers from town to the launching location and back to town. Our tour offered a free hotel pick-up and drop-off. Depending on the starting time, some rafting tours also include lunch.
If you are looking for a more adventurous rafting experience near Moab, consider this popular 6-hour tour . You will mostly be paddling through relatively small class 2 rapids , which is ideal for first-timers looking for a bit more adventure than the easy class 1 trips.
This tour covers the most beautiful part of the Colorado River near Fisher Tower’s section and that takes about 6 hours, with transfers and lunch included. You can also go swimming in the quieter parts of the river.
Good to know: This tour is also suitable for children from about 8 years and older. So if you are looking for a fun activity in Moab with teens, they’ll love this!
Another good option for those looking for a bit more action and adventure is this popular 4-hour rafting tour which includes a few class 3 rapids as well. It’s also family-friendly and ideal for families with kids ages 8 and higher.
If you just can’t get enough of rafting and want to spend more time on the water, consider this full-day rafting tour that takes about 9 hours. It includes class 3 & 4 rapids . It’s also suitable for adventurous families with teens (from about 10 years).
If you are looking for an even more extreme rafting experience in Moab, then check out this highly-rated 11-hour tour. It takes you rafting to Cataract Canyon in Canyonlands National Park. On this tour, you can encounter rapids of up to class 5 ! Please note that this is a challenging and long tour that includes over 30 whitewater rapids.
There are also longer, overnight rafting tours from Moab. Those trips are usually private, just for your family or group, and can be a wonderful adventure. You’d have to reach out to some local tour operators and see if they can arrange a trip like that for you.

The best season for rafting in Moab is in summer, from May to September. Most companies run rafting tours in Moab between mid-April or May until October.
Our rafting guide told us that he preferred the early morning rafting trips, especially on very hot days. Mid-day sun is really hot, even on the water.
Our kids were 5, 5, and 7 when we went rafting in Moab. So we opted for this family-friendly tour .
It was July, with temperatures of over 110°F, and it was impossible to do any sightseeing in Arches National Park or Canyonlands in the heat of the day. So we were looking for something fun to do that would be truly enjoyable for everyone. That’s when we stumbled upon rafting tours.
At first, we weren’t sure if rafting tours were suitable for young children, but we were told that it’s truly a family-friendly experience. So we decided to give it a try. And so glad we did. Our kids absolutely loved it!
The boys ‘helped’ the guide with peddling and we also went swimming in the river, jumping off the raft and floating close to it for a while. It turned out to be the highlight of our Moab vacation for all three kids! Also my husband who was quite skeptical about doing this with the kids was positively surprised.
It wasn’t an adrenaline-rushing rafting adventure. Just a really nice trip for the whole family. Stunning scenery, fun for the kids, swimming in the cool water of the Colorado River – this was incomparably better than attempting any sightseeing in the heat or spending even more hours at the pool of our hotel.
If you are interested to give this a try, you can find more details and book this half-day tour here.
Rafting companies foresee all the necessary equipment, including life jackets and helmets (for adventurous rafting trips), so you don’t have to worry about any of that.
It’s best to wear swimwear for rafting and water shoes are advisable. Flip-flops are usually not allowed.
I also highly recommend wearing UV t-shirts . It’s so hot in Moab in summer that your skin can burn in a matter of minutes. Sunscreen is a must as well!
You should also wear a sun hat for the rafting trips where no helmet is provided (easy rafting trips don’t require a helmet). There is always some wind and chances are big that your sun hat will blow away and into the river. So it’s best to pack a sun hat with strings if you have one, especially for children.
You may also want to pack a towel because you will get wet. We use quick-drying microfiber towels because they’re light to pack and dry quickly – ideal for travel.
Most rafting tours have a dry bag or a special box where you can store your belongings, such as a camera or a smartphone. However, they always say that taking any such items is at your own risk. So only pack what you really need and leave all the important documents and valuables in your hotel. If you want to, you can probably also pack a waterproof dry bag or a waterproof case for your smartphone .
You should also pack a good reusable water bottle for your trip!
Here’s an overview of what to wear/pack for rafting in Moab:

Wow, this sounds like an amazing experience, Ken! And a great combo to see the most remote areas from the water and from the air! Happy travels!

Jurga- I have been reading several of your posts and am looking at a month long trip touring several national parks with my twins who will be turning 5 at the end of the trip. I will be tackling this alone so it would be helpful to chat with someone who has done these adventures with kids this age and understands the twin dynamic. Any chance we could briefly chat offline somehow?
Friday 26th of February 2021
Hi Jennifer, unfortunately, we really have no time for personal conversations like that. With three kids, a full-time job, and all that's going on these days, it's really not feasible. It already takes us several days to get back to all the comments on the blog. I'm sure you'll understand. If you have any specific questions, please write them here or under related posts for the specific areas, and we'll do our best to help. That way, we can also help other readers looking for similar information. All the best!

What company did you schedule your rafting trip through? I would like to contact them to see about taking my 5 year old on the trip.

Hi Kate, I can't recall their name, but you can find the operator names via the links to the tours in the article. You can also ask whatever questions you have via GetYourGuide support if you can't find the supplier info. PS Our twins were also 5 years old when we went and there were also a couple of younger kids on the raft. Those half-day tours are on a very quiet part of the river.

Since its inception in 1971, World Wide River Expeditions has been connecting families, friends and youth groups in the great outdoors through some of the most amazing river trips the West has to offer. Operating with the true spirit of a family business we feel that providing the best experience possible at an affordable price is important. Whether you seek a quiet float, an intro to whitewater, raging rapids, or a combination of them all, we have the trip for you.
It is hard to believe that 2021 was the 50 th year World Wide River Expeditions has been taking individuals, families, and especially youth groups, down the river. What started in a garage and a one-time ward youth conference turned into a yearly event for some and something to bring their grandkids back for others. If you would like a little more history on how it all got started you can check out this blog post from an email founder, Richard Jones , shared with us earlier this year. We didn’t even know some of those details, but we are honored to carry on the tradition and essence that makes World Wide River Expeditions what it was when it was started, and what it continues to be.

From the rim of a sandstone ridge overlooking Arches National Park , travellers are treated to one of the most iconic views in the American Southwest. The towering Delicate Arch proudly stands alone, reflecting a rainbow of orange and red hues. Beyond lies the hypnotising desert of the Colorado Plateau and the outskirts of the legendary adventure capital of Moab.
Arches, Canyonlands National Park and the adjoining public lands surrounding Moab combine to draw an estimated three to five million visitors to the area annually — most of whom arrive with a pair of hiking boots or a mountain bike in tow. The land itself draws people to Moab and, as the seasons change, so do the best ways to experience this stunning slice of America.
The tolerable heat and plentiful snowmelt signals the beginning of Moab’s spring. Although busy, Moab doesn’t feel overcrowded at this time. This is the perfect time for mountain bikers to tackle the 100-mile White Rim Trail in Canyonlands National Park, which provides incredible views of the Colorado Plateau and surrounding remote areas. Weaving its way through Canyonlands National Park, the trail is a sought-after destination for multi-day bikepacking trips — which involves mixed-terrain cycling over multiple days. Moab-based companies such as Western Spirit Cycling Adventures host bikepacking trips, allowing visitors to camp among the canyons for four days.
The 6.6-mile hike to Dark Angel in Arches National Park, a 150ft-tall pillar of sandstone covered in black desert varnish, is also best tackled in milder weather. En route, the trail requires travellers to scramble over boulders, navigate fin-shaped ridges and scurry along narrow drop-offs to earn up-close views of the Devil’s Garden and Landscape Arch, one of the world’s longest natural arch formations.
Moab’s whitewater rafting season runs from March until October, but flows reach their peak in late May and early June. The tail end of spring brings the perfect blend of warmer temperatures and high water to the confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers, which leads to the famed Cataract Canyon. Sheri Griffith River Expeditions , one of many local rafting companies, runs regular group and women-only rafting trips through these adrenaline-pumping rapids.
From mid-April each year, visitors can also ride the "Rockies to Red Rocks" railroad, the annual Denver to Moab rail service on the Rocky Mountaineer . This two-day adventure follows the Colorado River through the Rocky Mountains — with an overnight stop to enjoy the natural hot springs of Glenwood Springs — before continuing on towards Moab.
Summer brings peak tourism to Moab’s national parks. It’s essential to book campgrounds or lodging well in advance and remember to bring plenty of water and sunscreen for daytime exploring. Summer temperatures can average around 38C, so exploration is best left to early morning and late afternoon. Shorter hikes through narrow canyons allow visitors to beat the heat during this time.
At Mill Creek Canyon, travellers can take a 1.6-mile roundtrip to the Mill Creek Waterfall, passing a few cooling stream crossings en route. The nearby Grandstaff Canyon is another great adventure with a 4.3-mile trek along a willow-lined stream into a sandstone grotto leading to Morning Glory Natural Bridge, spanning 243ft.
Moab’s Swanny Park hosts free concerts each summer where visitors can relax on a lawn before a stage backed by a majestic desert backdrop. The Moab Free Concert Series runs from June to August and features acts from Americana and folk genres to zydeco, rock, country and soul.
Stargazing is a year-round activity in Moab; however, many astronomy enthusiasts converge here for the Southeast Utah AstroFest in June. This celebration of the celestial brings ranger programmes, telescope viewings and daytime events to both national parks and the nearby Dead Horse Point State Park for three days of galaxy-focussed fun. However, if you're not around the festival, try to join one of the park's monthly full moon hikes, beginning around sunset each month.
Cooler temperatures return in autumn and many summer travellers head home, creating a quieter feel. At this time, the streets of Moab are brimming with off-road vehicles heading to Hell’s Revenge Trailhead. This trail delivers impressive views of the nearby La Sal Mountains and Abyss Canyon, where experienced drivers with suitable vehicles can twist, turn, and crawl across the landscape. Unchartered Society , an adventure company, partners with local outfitters to place travellers behind the wheel of their own UTV for the day. Local outfitters like Moab Adventure Center also offer Jeep rentals, for an alternative way to explore on your own.
Mountain biking along the Porcupine Rim Trail is best experienced in autumn and late spring. Visitors can cascade down an alpine trailhead to the brink of Castle Valley before heading to the banks of the Colorado River. Poison Spider Bicycles offers a shuttle service from Moab to the trailhead and other globally renowned bike trails, such as the Whole Enchilada and the Magnificent Seven, a collection of mostly downhill trails. Keen mountain bikers should also head to the Slick Rock Trail , an iconic location for avid mountain bikers, located a few miles northeast of the city of Moab. This 12-mile route may be to mountain biking, what St Andrews is to golf. Allow four hours to complete the full loop, or for an easier option, there's a 2.3-mile practice trail.
A drive along Scenic Byway U-128 leads to Castleton and Fisher Towers, with world-class hiking and rock climbing. Red River Adventures enables travellers who are either beginners or experienced climbers to explore the area with an expert.
Crowds abate in winter and the desert is occasionally dusted with snow. A 0.6-mile hike in Canyonlands National Park puts photographers at the doorstep of Mesa Arch. Here at sunrise, tangerine rays illuminate the fringes of the arch, framing an outstretched expanse of monuments and buttes. Winter months mean fewer visitors to this ultra-popular photography spot, with an added benefit — sunrise in winter can occur more than an hour later than in summer months.
Winter months in Moab also typically mean less rain and more opportunities to safely venture into slot canyons. Make the most of the shorter daylight hours by booking a guided canyoneering trip with NAVTEC Expeditions (who also run daily and multiday backcountry trips and river expeditions) for guidance, equipment and transportation to and from the labyrinth of mesmerising slot canyons.
Snow-speckled dinosaur tracks are easily accessible from Highway 191 near Canyonlands Field Airport. More than a hundred million years ago, dinosaurs roamed where road-trippers now stroll. Visitors can explore The Mill Canyon Dinasour Tracksite , which contains more than 200 fossilised footprints from the Cretaceous period.
For the hungry adventurer, although some restaurants close during the winter season, there are still great options catering to winter at time including Singha Thai (popular with locals) and Antica Forma (for wood-fired pizzas). Few restaurants, though, offer upscale southwestern flair like the menu at Desert Bistro , where Wagyu steaks and stuffed poblano peppers highlight a menu that shifts with the seasons.

We will come again, awesome tour, frequently asked questions about moab river rafting tours.
Our daily stretch on the Colorado River includes both class I and class II rapids throughout the season. However, during early season while we experience higher water levels due to snow melt, guests may get to experience one or two class III rapids during their tour.
We recommend wearing quick-dry clothing and shoes that can not only get wet but will stay securely on your feet. Hats and/or sunglasses are also highly recommended.
Everything that you take with you must go on the raft and therefore has a chance of getting wet. We recommend leaving dry clothes, towels, and any other items you do not want getting wet behind. You can check valuables such as cell phones, wallets, and keys with our front desk staff while checking in for your tour. If you wish to bring a camera or cell phone with you, we recommend purchasing a waterproof case that will protect your device. GoPros are allowed on the tour, but they cannot be worn on a helmet/head mount. Guests can use handheld mounts or chest straps that will fit under their life vest.
Previous experience is not required to take a rafting trip with us. Your guides will provide you with our safety protocol guidelines at the start of your tour so you can be sure to feel confident and comfortable while on your adventure.
We recommend guests be comfortable in the water and are capable of getting in and out of a raft. If you feel you may need assistance with paddling, please contact our storefront directly to inquire about paddle-assist options.
All guests are required to wear the life vests provided by our guides. Our jackets accommodate guests as small as 50Ibs and up to a chest circumference of 52 inches.
Veggie burgers can be provided for guests upon request. There are also several salad bar options available to accommodate different restrictions. Please let us know if you have any allergies or restrictions in advance.

River rafting reviews and red river adventure testimonials.
Did the full day fisher towers trip. It was very well ran and enjoyable. Took some younger kids and overall was a great experience thanks to red river.
The trip was beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking. But if you are looking for rapids, this may not be the tour for you, at least not this time of year. The water was quiet and at times it felt like we weren’t moving. Definitely more of a float than rafting. It’s perfect for those who want to relax and not have a workout.
We enjoyed our rafting trip down the Colorado River. Our guide, Jake was very personable and informative. We would recommend Red River Adventures for anyone seeking a fun and enjoyable time.
Incredible experience with an even better canyoneering guide, Cage! This excursion had some of everything, the hiking, petroglyphs, 4 separate rappels. Cage made the trip very memorable for each of us and made us feel safe and comfortable during the challenging rappels. We highly recommend this tour guide and company!
Great trip down the river. Fun guides and beautiful scenery!
Jordan was awesome
Merci!
Such a wonderful experience for my family. John was very friendly and professional. Would recommend 100%. We can’t wait for another opportunity to climb with John again.
Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and so patient. We had a 12 year old and 73 year old in our group and our guides were awesome with them. We had a great time!!
I was unsure about rafting down the colorado river. Jake was our guide and I could not have asked for a nicer guide. Jake told us some history of the area, and told us about the rapids before we came to them. We had so much fun that my wife and I are talking about doing another rafting trip down the Colorado River. Thank You Jake.
Knowledgeable and kind guide, Cage, made it a really fun experience
This was a great half day trip on the Colorado river. Communication was awesome and our guide, Liz, was great! She was full of info about the river, the area and rafting! Thanks for the awesome experience.
What we liked: Well organised, entertaining guides (especially during the bus drive) and friendly atmosphere. Not much white water during our 1/2 day tour (class 1/2) in July 2024. Still fun for beginners though, we got to jump in the water two times :-)
First off 5 ⭐'s for Maggie, our river tour guide. She was very sweet and knowledgeable at her job. Red River Adventures made our rafting experience easy and very memorable. I would definitely recommend them for your rafting while in Moab Utah!
Went rafting on the Colorado river and it was incredible. The guides were very knowledgeable and personable. Shoutout to Keira and Will for being the best guides ever.
We had Maggie as our raft guide, she made our experiences one to remember. She was kind and genuine. She made the tour very interesting, she had a lot of knowledge. You can tell she loves her job. Red River made it very easy to book and had very clear and easy instructions. Thier staff was friendly and made out experience fun.
My father and I booked a last-minute half-day rafting excursion as we were passing through Moab this past weekend, and were so happy with our decision! Even though we were not in season for optimal rapids (only Class I-II in early August), we had an amazing time out on the river. The calmer water even allowed us to take a swim in the Colorado during our excursion. Our guide, Charbo, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and kept our group entertained the entire ride. All the guides were professional and fun, and we loved the entertainment provided by them on the bus ride to and from the boat launch. We could have easily done the full-day trip if our schedules had permitted! Highly recommend going with them for all rafting or otherwise outdoorsy excursions in Moab. We will definitely book again next time we are in town.
Very nice experience with three amazing guys (Jack, Grace and.. sorry I forget her name). Smooth rafting and swimming in the Colorado ended the day 🫶🏻
What a great way to spend a hot morning in Moab! Red River made everything seamless without a lot of wait time to get setup. The location of rafting was magnificent and the guides were awesome, keeping things lively and interesting, from the bus ride to safety. Emily was a lot of fun guiding our particular raft. Can’t wait to ski some pow in Japan with Red River in January !!!
August river rafting is fun and chill with the class 1 & 2 rapids. Our guide, Jake, was awesome. We want to come back in June for class 3 rapids. The guides are knowledgeable and funny. Super fun.
Fantastic River Rafting for the whole Family
Ontzettend leuke tour. Alles gaat heel relaxed. Eerst met de bus 40 minuten. Tijds de rit worden we geëntertaind door een van de gidsen. Raften niet heftig of zwaar. Wij hadden Savannah als gids. Heel vriendelijk. Top activiteit! We deden halve dag, achteraf hadden we misschien voor hele dag gekozen.
We had so much fun on the river! Maggie and Liz and the rest were great guides and had so much information on Moab to tell us. They were fun and provided us plenty of opportunities to get in the water and float and we had a blast!
Kids loved it! So much fun!
Excellent guides, super friendly. We had a great time.
Such a great experience with a wonderful crew of guides. We enjoyed the entertaining bus ride, the clear rafting direction , and the great stories from our guide.
I took my boys white water rafting for their first time & they LOVED it. Our guide, Kiara, was very knowledgeable about the area, was funny, kind & made the trip so much more fun. We’d love to come back & do it again with her!
We had so much fun. Husband and I in late 50s, average shape, with 18 year old son. Adam was the best guide. He took care that I was always ok and he was so positive. Would 100 percent recommend Bow and Arrow Canyoneering with Adam.
Took a half day rafting trip. The camaraderie and banter between the guides made for a fun experience, whilst still being a professional outfit. Shoutout to Emily for being our amazing guide.
Great service! Liz was an amazing tour guide. She knew so much about Moab, the river, and rafting in general. I highly recommend.
Great tour, great guys, great day
Liz was an amazing rafting guide. She was an awesome paddler. And as an extra bonus, she is super intelligent and is extremely knowledgeable about the land and ecology we passed as we floated the river. Our bus driver was an awesome driver!!! And the other guides gave us fun tour guide info on the way to the float and back to the office. We did the all day float. Lunch was provided. It was healthy and satisfying after a day on the river.
Liz was just amazing we really enjoyed our trip. She educated us the whole trip down the river. Great people skills!
Emily was a great guide. The whole process was seamless.
Our family of six with limited rafting experience very much enjoyed the 1/2 day Fisher Towers tour with Red River Adventures. A wonderful all around experience. Red River is a very professional operation with courteous and knowledgeable guides. Even our ten year old frkt comfortsble enough to get out of the raft and swim.
I had a wonderful multipitch climb in Little Cottonwood Canyon. John was informative and kept me safe. Fingercracks, slabs, amazing scenery and weather. I would do it again tomorrow if I had an opportunity. .
Amazing experience at a great price! Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!!
We are here on vacation from Indiana and went on our guided half day tour this morning and we had the absolute best time! All your workers were great from person who met us to talk to us, our bus driver but our guide Sharbo (spelling?) was amazing! He was full of information and answered all our questions and was tons of fun! My son Brayden thought he was awesome and wanted to be by him on the raft all day! We have nothing negative to say and would recommend everyone to give you all a try!! And if you get Sharbo as a guide you are bound to have a fun, exciting and informative trip!! 😊
Such a great experience! The entire staff was amazing. Our guide Savannah was the best. We love it. Highly recommend.
Our family of 6 had an amazing time! The weather was perfect and our guide was hilarious. It was the perfect way to see the beauty of Moab. My kids loved being able to get out of the raft and float down the river where it was allowed. I would highly recommend Red River for rafting in Moab.
Went on a canyoneering adventure with Cage. It was just the 5 of us, and it was Ana amazing adventure! 2 fun repels into the canyons, and a scenic hike back out. Cage was the best guide! Highly recommend.
Red River Adventures! We went white water river rafting and we had Maggie as our guide. She was very helpful and polite. You get to go swimming in some spots if you would like to. You get to make a lot of great memories. Red Water River rafting keeps you occupied for the bus ride. They point out cool things. We had a amazing time, I would definitely do this again! 5/5 stars! Thank you! -Ella Muirhead
Absolutely fantastic experience with Red River Adventures in Moab! Our guide, Maggie, was exceptional. Her knowledge of the area and enthusiasm made the trip unforgettable. The scenery was breathtaking, and the rafting was both thrilling and enjoyable. Maggie ensured we were safe and comfortable throughout the journey, and her storytelling added a unique touch to the adventure. The whole team was professional and friendly, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend Red River Adventure and be sure to ask for Maggie as your guide – you won't be disappointed! Five stars all the way!
Grace our guide was awesome! Took Jake’s advice on a hike later that day, was a good one! Was able to swim downriver overall had a great experience!
Wonderful day trip! Friendly staff, safe knowledgeable River Guides, awesome equipment. Absolutely fantastic float! Why do I give 5 stars? Because they don't have 6!
Grace was a wonderful guide to our family of four, including our Autistic 9-year-old son, who had a blast in the raft. The heat, van ride in a life jacket and general sensory stimulation of the hot desert had him dysregulated, and they were very understanding. The half-day Fisher Towers tour was a safe and fun intro to rafting for our 6-year-old.
Such an amazing experience, especially for a first timer! I did the Morning Glory hike witth Kenzie who was such a great guide - clearly explaining the process, making it feel safe, and then sharing her knowledge about the local plants and other hiking spots. It was a nice easy, beautiful hike back.
Amazing float down the river. Guides were great, personable, funny, and knowledgeable. Can’t recommend it enough. You won’t be sorry you chose Red River.
Great day on the river! Everyone loved swimming! Big thanks to Maggie and Grace!
