Tours is another shopping heaven with a lot of branded shops and fashion for ladies especially handbag.

Great pit stop on our journey through France. Very helpful staff, room a bit tight for 2 adults and 2 young children but it did have 2 double beds. Overall, very good and great value.

This place was great -very basic but clean and quiet with a good breakfast before you get back on the road. If you are looking for a no frills hotel simply for a place to rest your head then you can’t go wrong for under 30 euros a room. My kids thought the shutter style bathroom was fun and it’s even pet friendly. Thank you Mister Bed :-)

Our room was exactly as advertised, small but well equipped, only drawback was, if booking for 4 nights or more it was classed as an apartment therefore no room cleaning (not a problem) bu only one set of towels which you either had to wash yourself or pay € for another set plus cleaning, 3 nights or less included daily towels and housekeeping.

This is a charming hotel with a lovely hostess. Just at 3 minute-walk distance to the Gare de Tours and the Office of Tourism is at the corner. You will not miss the bus tours to the chateux. Rooms are lovely and modern and easily accessible with the elevator. Be sure to stay with them when touring in Tours. Bon voyage!

The room was spotlessly clean and the grey/black/white decor was very refreshing and modern. Our hosts were charming, polite and very engaging with their guests. Good English is spoken too. There are plenty of restaurants located around the hotel, and it is about a 10 min walk from Tours Central Station. Also close by is the wonderful, not to be missed, Musee des Beaux Arts - good value for E5 entry. Saint-Gatien Cathedral (on the pilgrims' walk to Santiago del Compostella) has a rich history and holds an essential place in the progress of French architecture through the centuries.

Tours can best be described as laid back. It has large areas in the old city which are pedestrianised allowing you to walk and wander at leisure.

Neatly divided by a new tramway along Rue Nationale, you can explore to the east along rue Colbert to Musee des Beaux- Arts, Saint-Gatien's Cathedral before returning to the west side along rue de Commerce, Place Plummereau and the Basilica of St Martin. Or if you just want a quite spot for a picnic, choose the banks of the nearby Loire River

We are a couple from HK, first time visit to Tours, we like the city very much, quiet, safe, yet interesting with lots of restaurants and shops.

We use it as a base to visit the nearby chateau in other parts of the Loire Valley. The Tourism office is helpful as well. Everyone who like quiet life and enjoy wine and food should go there for a relax holiday! :)
