The Friend Safari (Japanese: フレンドサファリ Friend Safari ) is a facility in Kiloude City where Trainers can catch Pokémon that cannot normally be found in Kalos .

In the games

Once the player has entered the Hall of Fame , they are able to access Kiloude City and thus the Friend Safari. At the Friend Safari, the player is able to access Safaris for any Friends that are successfully registered in the 3DS 's friend list (regardless of whether or not that person has played Pokémon X and Y ). Each Safari has designated Pokémon that can be encountered, all belonging to a designated type; these are determined by the Friend's friend code and will not change. As such, any players who successfully register a given friend code in their 3DS will all be able to access the exact same Friend Safari. There is no way for the player to access the Friend Safari for their own 3DS.

Friends who have been recognized in the PSS will usually be represented in the Friend Safari list by the avatar they were last seen with on the PSS, while Friends who have not been seen will be represented by a "?" icon. However, if the player has added more than 100 Friends (by deleting some at some point), the earliest-seen avatars may begin to be forgotten and revert to "?" icons until they are next seen on the PSS; this does not affect the rest of the Safari's status, however. Also, if a Friend is deleted from the 3DS's friend list and then readded later, their Safari may retain the status it had before it was deleted.

All Friend Safaris have three Pokémon that may be captured. Only Pokémon from the first two "slots" are available until the Friend to whom that Safari belongs enters the Hall of Fame and subsequently appears online in the PSS at the same time as the player (thereby also allowing the PSS to recognize the Friend if it had not already). Once all three "slots" are unlocked the Pokémon encountered in that Friend's Safari will thereafter have a chance of having their Hidden Ability .

All Pokémon encountered in the Friend Safari are guaranteed to have at least two IVs of 31 (three IVs of 31 for Pokémon that are in No Eggs Discovered , such as Togepi ) and have a higher chance of being Shiny . When checking for Shininess, the game generates up to four extra personality values to attempt to find a Shiny value, resulting in a Shiny encounter rate of approximately 1 - (4095/4096)^5 , or roughly 5/4096; this effect can stack with the Shiny Charm , which results in a rate of approximately 1 - (4095/4096)^7 , or roughly 7/4096. All Pokémon that appear in the Friend Safari are level 30 (causing some, such as Muk and Drapion , to be underleveled ). Pokémon can be found in the Friend Safari regardless of being Version-exclusive Pokémon or otherwise unobtainable in either version. All Friend Safari-exclusive Pokémon can be normally caught in either Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire , or both.

In the tables below, note that "rate" does not refer to encounter rate but rather the likelihood for a Pokémon to have been selected for that "slot" of a Friend Safari. All Pokémon that can appear in a given Friend's Safari have the same encounter rate.

Normal-type Safari

Fire-type safari, fighting-type safari, water-type safari, flying-type safari, grass-type safari, poison-type safari, electric-type safari, ground-type safari, psychic-type safari, rock-type safari, ice-type safari, bug-type safari.

If a Safari contains Vivillon , the form that appears will be the one corresponding to the current player's own location data, which won't necessarily match the location of the friend that provided the Safari.

Dragon-type Safari

Ghost-type safari, dark-type safari, steel-type safari, fairy-type safari.

• Initially, Vivillon 's icon would not replace the Poké Ball icon after it was encountered. This was fixed in the version 1.3 patch.
• Floette is the only Pokémon to have a greater than 50% chance of appearing in a Friend Safari.
• Cascoon is the only Pokémon to be found in a Friend Safari who does not match the designated type, as it is a pure Bug-type Pokémon found in a Poison-type Friend Safari. Its evolution , Dustox , however, is part Poison-type.

• So in the main 3ds menue on the top row of the touch screen there is an orange icon for "friends". If you click that, the first thing you will see is your friend code, FC for short. On yhe top right of that screen should be an add friend button. Let your friends input your code and you put in theirs. Once thats done, go into X/Y and progress till you are in post game and unlock the friend safari area. In there, you will be asked which friends area you wish to go hunting in. There are some things you need to know: 1. Each friend has a type assignd to them and 3 pokemon of that type will show up. 2. In order to get the 3rd pokemon and HA to unlock you both have to meet each other once online or in person after you become the champ. 3. Pokemon X and Y: Friend Safari Basics/Tips Guide

Go to the Friend Safari so you can catch them all faster than ever before! Read our guide to learn how.

One of the interesting, and possibly misunderstood, additions to Pokemon X and Y is the highly social Friend Safari. The successor to Safari Zone is inherently social, but in a completely different way from smartphone games like Candy Crush Saga. The quantity of your Pokemon playing friends is not as important as their quality, or to better put it, their skill level. An early heads up, you have to finish the main game before trying this out.

After you defeat the Elite Four, you can go to Lumiose’s train station, where Professor Sycamore is waiting with a Rail Ticket to Kiloude City. At the left of the city is a house with a red roof, also pictured below. This is Friend Safari.

In Friend Safari, you can visit safaris your fellow Pokemon playing friends have made and registered. You will be able to catch three Pokemon there. Two of them are Level 30 Pokemon, and are frequently console exclusive. The third Pokemon is one of those only available in Friend Safari.

Awesome, right? But to make use of Friend Safari, you’ll need to have friends in real life, who have also finished Pokemon X and Y I mean.

Let me lay out the steps to ensure you can get a 3 rd Pokemon:

1.     When you find a fellow Pokemon player who will work with you, enter their Friend Code into your Friends List, from the 3DS Home screen. Your Friendship status should  change from Provisional to either Online or Offline.

2.     Next, you both need to have beat the Elite Four and received access to the Friend Safari.

3.     Finally, make sure your wireless is on and turn on Internet in game. If everything has gone without a hitch, you will be able to get 3 Pokemon from the Friend Safari.

Now, here are some tips to make the most out of Friend Safari:

·         Use a Pokemon with Trace as the leader. This way, you can check if the Pokemon you come across already has their Primary Ability, Secondary Ability, or Hidden Ability.

·         Give your leader the Smoke Ball, so that it can easily escape from hairy situations.

·         If you’re looking for Dittos for breeding, use Pokemon with Sturdy Ability as leaders. Sturdy will bring Dittos  down to as much as 1 HP. These Pokemon should not have any damage dealing moves. Bergmite is ideal. When the Ditto transforms it, you can easily swap it out and hit the Ditto hard. To improve your chances of catching it, try paralyzing or putting it to sleep as well.

If you’re not happy with the friend safari type you receive, there’s a way to change it. In this article, we’ll discuss how to do it, what determines your friend safari type, and how to add more friends to the game. Plus, we’ll talk about the shiny odds you’ll receive when adding new friends to the game.

Can you change your friend safari type?

You can change the type of your friend safari if you have the ability to change Pokemon, but you have to reformat your 3DS first to make this change. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have a new friend code and a new safari to explore. Your friend safari is determined by the type of the pkmn you are friends with. However, you can change the type of your friends and safaris to the same type for the same game.

In the Pokemon Insurgence game, you can change the type of your friend safari by talking to the woman in Kiloude City’s Friend Safari. Talking to this woman will reveal your Safari type and the type of Pokemon you’ve collected in the Friend Safari. However, you must remember that the odds of getting a shiny Pokemon are flat 1/512. If you have a shiny charm, the odds increase.

As for the types of Pokemon that you can catch, you can choose from Delta and ground. Both Pokemon have the same types, but the latter has a different ability called regurgitation. This ability works like a parental bond between a child and a parent. The answer to the question “can you change your friend’s safari type in Pokemon Insurgence?” depends on the region in which you play.

What determines friend safari type?

There is a quest in Pokemon Insurgence known as the Friend Safari, which allows players to take a Pokemon to meet and breed with other trainers. To complete the quest, you must have at least six Gym Badges. There are three different types of Pokemon that you can choose from in the Friend Safari. Choosing the right type will depend on your username and the type of Pokemon you want to find.

When playing with a friend, it is possible to get up to three Pokemon in the Friend Safari, and once you defeat the Elite Four, you will have access to Hidden Abilities for those Pokemon. However, you can only get Hidden Abilities if both players are online at the same time.

How do you add friends to friend safari?

Once you’ve completed the main game, the next step is to visit the Friend Safari, located in Kiloude City. Once you’re there, talk to the woman in the house to learn about the various Pokemon you can catch on the safari. You’ll be able to see what type of Pokemon you’re likely to find in the Friend Safari, as well as what kind of Charm you can use to attract them. If you’re trying to catch a shiny, you’ll find that your odds are flat at 1/512. However, if you’re wearing a shiny charm, you’ll increase your odds by five percent.

While Pokemon Insurgence borrows from the Game freak catalog of mechanics, it also adds new ones and features. One new feature is Custom Moves, which allow you to teach a specific move to any Pokemon in the game, thereby giving it a unique ability. You can use these new moves to give your Pokemon an extra boost, and even change the type of your Pokemon. It’s a great way to add strategy and teamwork to your gameplay.

What are the shiny odds in friend safari?

The default chance of encountering a Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Insurgence Friend Safari is 1/512, meaning that a Shiny Pokemon is eight times more likely to appear than a normal Pokemon. Fortunately, this odds does not depend on whether the player uses the Shiny Charm. This means that if you find a Shiny Pokemon, there is no need to worry.

Friend Safari also offers the chance to catch hidden ability Pokemon. These Pokemon have a special ability which allows you to use it to enhance your battles with other Pokemon. They also have the potential to evolve into different Pokemon. For example, the Delta Ralts can evolve into a Delta Kirlia at level 20 and then into a Delta Gardevoir when exposed to the Dawn Stone. They can also breed. However, to access this feature, you must have at least one Safari to have the chance to catch them.

How do you get shiny Pokémon in friend safari?

One of the best ways to catch shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Insurgence is by going on a Friend Safari. By doing this, you can control the nature of the Pokemon and increase your chances of catching them. Unlike other encounters, though, you can’t just go anywhere and hope to see shiny Pokémon. If you want to get shiny Pokemon, you’ll need to prepare for the Friend Safari encounters and find them.

Unlike regular Pokemon games, you can also get shiny Pokémon in Pokemon Insurgence through trades. While trades aren’t necessarily locked to nature or stats, they do yield shiny Pokémon and are a fun way to replay the game. However, this method is more complicated than a static encounter because you have to talk to the other player and wait for the trade screen to be animated.

One of the best ways to get shiny Pokémon in Pokemon Insurgence is to collect the Shiny Charm. This item will increase your chances of hatching a shiny Pokemon by about 8/4096. It can also increase the odds of catching a Shiny Pokémon by as much as 1/512 if you use it correctly.

What type is Delta Haxorus?

The Delta Haxorus in Pokemon Instinct is the final form of the Delta Axew, and it can only be bred with Delta Ditto. During its evolution, its dorsal fin becomes fused with an anchor, and it loses the ability to navigate through water, becoming a fearsome foe on land. This Pokemon is found in a cave in Samsara. It is one of the rarest Pokemon in the game. It is also one of the easiest to obtain. Its stats are excellent, making it useful on both defensive and supportive teams. Its only weakness is ground, making it great for support or defensive sets.

When the game first came out, there were two different types of Delta Snorlax. The first was the Delta Munchlax, a dual-type Electric/Ice Pokémon. It evolved from Delta Ralts at level 20. However, it was unable to breed because of its mutation. The next was Delta Scyther, a dual-type Ice/Fighting Pokemon. How Doe Friend Safari Work?

I want an Excadrill with Mold Breaker but I don’t know how to get one. I read that you can get one in Friend Safari, but I have no idea how it works. Can anyone enlighten me?

Once you reach Metchi town you can get a secret base. At the back if your secret base, there is a friend safari, which is a patch of grass where three random pokemon that all share a type can be found. You can only find two of them until the sixth badge is unlocked. You can upload your secret base so other people can go to your friend safari, or you can go to someone else’s friend safari. The safari “LockNDoTs” has drilbur but you can only access it when you get six badges. Everything in friend safari has a 1/5 chance of having Hidden Ability.

The Friend Safari is a location in your Secret Base where Trainers can catch Pokémon that can not normally be found in their journeys.

Once the player has entered Metchi Town , they are able to purchase a secret base and thus access the Friend Safari. A secret entrance to your secret base is located behind the bookcases in every Pokémon Center basement. Players are able to go online and enter a friend's username to visit their base.

Players can access their own Friend Safari.

All Pokémon that appear in the Friend Safari are level 13-18. All Friend Safaris have three Pokémon that may be captured. Only two of them will be available until the trainer has six Gym Badges.

All three Pokémon are of the same type, determined by that player's username. However, there are some cases such as, being spawned in a Water-type Safari, due to it's evolved form being a Water-type Pokémon. This is the same for , , , , , , , , , , , and being spawned in a Safari where their evolved form has a new type the same type as the Safari.

It is possible for to spawn in both slots 1 and 2 for a Flying-type Safari.

There are some differences in the Pokémon encountered in the Friend Safari as opposed to the official games. Pokémon found here have the default chance of 1/8192 of being Shiny. These Pokémon also are not guaranteed to have at least two IVs of 31 nor do they hold any items. They also have a chance of having their Hidden Ability.

Please do not fill in slot 3 Pokémon, there is no way of obtaining them yet. We know there are ways of obtaining this information but sharing it here is not allowed. Also, please do not assign a user as the owner if they have a puzzle, as this is tedious and sometimes bugged.
