Morrissey Announces North American Tour in Fall 2024

Morrissey has just announced a brief tour of the United States and Canada this fall! The announcement follows Morrissey’s recent four-date residency in Las Vegas, Nevada. The trek will take the English singer/songwriter across the US south and East Coast as well as Ontario, Canada. As of this posting, it doesn’t look like any supporting acts have been announced other than Morrissey’s band.

According to Morrissey’s longtime guitarist Jesse Tobias, this tour is going to be something particularly special for fans.

“There is currently something happening, a finesse and ferocity coming from Morrissey and the band that is unparalleled to anything I’ve seen in my tenure as Morrissey’s guitarist for over 21 years,” said Tobias in a press release for the tour. 

The Morrissey 2024 Tour will kick off on October 31 in Houston, Texas at 713 Music Hall. Pending any additional tour dates that could be added in the coming weeks, the trek should come to an end on November 23 in Waukegan, Illinois at the Genesee Theatre.

Tickets to the Morrissey 2024 Tour will be available on Ticketmaster and a presale event is currently underway. General on-sale will begin on Friday, August 9 at 10:00 am local.

If you didn’t get the chance to get a code or tickets during the presale event, you might have some luck on Stubhub . Morrissey announces ’40 Years Of Morrissey’ anniversary tour

Tickets go on sale later this week

Morrissey has announced plans for a tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of his music career.

The jaunt dubbed the ’40 Years Of Morrissey’ tour, will kick off in Mexico City on September 10 before calling at venues in Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.

From there, the former Smiths frontman will head to North America, performing several shows in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Washington DC and New York.

He will conclude his tour stateside with a four-night residency at New York City’s United Palace, which wraps up on October 25. You can view the full list of dates below.

A pre-sale for Morrissey’s 40th anniversary tour will begin tomorrow, (June 22) at 10am local time before tickets will go on general sale on Friday (June 23). You can purchase tickets here .

The dates come off ahead of a series of UK shows he previously announced which kick off next month at Portsmouth Guildhall on July 8. Any remaining tickets will be available here .

Meanwhile, Morrissey recently accused Capitol Records of “fascism” after the label shelved his latest album ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’.

The controversy around the album stems back to 2022, when the singer-songwriter and former Smiths frontman revealed that he had “voluntarily withdrawn from any association with Capitol Records” – despite announcing that he would be releasing the LP with them just two months earlier.

He also revealed that Miley Cyrus – who recorded backing vocals for ‘Bonfire’ track ‘I Am Veronica’ in 2020 – had asked to have her vocals removed from the song .

Morrissey has confirmed dates for a 2024 North American tour taking place this fall.

The trek kicks off in Houston, Texas on Halloween (October 31st) and continues on with shows in Dallas, Knoxville, Baltimore, Newark, Atlantic City, Niagara Falls, and Indianapolis, among other cities. Get tickets here .

Morrissey recently wrapped up a four-night residency in Las Vegas, where he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his solo album, Beethoven Was Deaf . A 2024 remaster of the album was released to coincide with the residency.
